Ratchet & Clank Delayed

Joystiq is reporting (http://www.joystiq.com/2007/09/28/ratchet-and-clank-delayed-one-week/) that Ratchet & Clank: Future Tools of Destruction has been delayed for the PS3 by one week from October 23rd to the 30th. On top of that, the demo has been pushed back a week from October 4th to October 11th. No word on what actually caused the delay, but at least it's not a huge one.

Is it just me or are a lot of titles on all platforms getting short delays (and long ones) lately?

I read the title and got scared for the PS3. The thought of this game missing the holiday season would be devastating.

I read the title and thought it was a delay beyond what we heard announced yesterday, but it's not. Even if it were, one week is not really anything big.

I think it was more than likely some sort of major bug that slipped through the cracks that had to be fixed. Considering you can't delay a game only by a day or two; it had to be delayed a whole week.

I really doubt that. Judging by Insomniac's podcast, they're done with the game. Well, also, they announced that it's gone gold yesterday. Why Sony is deciding to release the game later is beyond me.

You guys know what's F'd up?? The Microsoft/Nintendo VS Sony war is being watched over by the PC gamers. They're enjoying it immensely, because once one side wins they are going to swoop in and attack the side that is left when it is weak from the previous battle.

All console and handheld gamers need to unite to root out the evil PC gamers and exterminate them. They are the real evil...and who knows once we are brothers in arms in the console VS pc wars, we just might one day learn to respect each other and co-exist.

As a sign of peace next time i see Gorvi I'm going to give him a big hug and let him know i forgive him for all the times he has sinned with the ps3.

Blast it all, Sony is not some huge block of developers. What each company does is totally independent of the others.

Here's hoping it sucks, though. Schadenfreude is awesome.

This one week delay is good for me, as it allows the checking account to accumulate the funds necessary for purchase.

Even as practically a PS3 fanboy who finds this stupid, I realize it's just a joke and somehow I'm laughing my ass off. Someone had to do it, lol.
