Gran Tursimo HD, the bare bones, hi-def remix of Gran Turismo 4, was always intended to be available for a limited time only. Well that expiration date has been set for Japan. According to 1UP (http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3163251), as of September 30th, Gran Turismo HD will be taken off the Playstation Network.
No word on whether, or when, the same fate will befall the US and Euro versions of the game, but I'd suggest anyone wanting in get to downloading now.

Perhaps because GT5 Prologue will irrelevantize it?

'Cause on the PSN it'll take that long to download it! Ba-dum-CHING!

I like that word. Good creation!
Sounds oxymoronical! ;)

Don't you love English?
The best part is, try Googling "irrelevantize," and look at what you get as the first result.

I did this, but to cut to the point hit the "I'm feeling lucky" button. Imagine my confusion

Its Sony's way of forcing consumers that havent bought GT already to buy the newer version. Just think how many MORE copies of EA sport games that would get sold each year if you couldn't buy last years version. its a dick move but I don't blame Sony for doing it.

Spoken like someone who has no idea what GT HD really is. It's a free high res version of a course form GT4 with about 15-20 cars you can unlock. Its a glorified tech demo.

He really just wants to show you the bad places Sony touched him.
