Well, let's see. Nintendo has released Streets of Rage, and Streets of Rage 2....what's next? Oh, that's right! Streets of Rage 3! Fantastic! There's also the sub-par SNES puzzler Kirby's Avalanche and Legend of Hero Tonma for the Turbografx 16.

Kirby's Avalanche™ (http://www.vc-reviews.com/review/541/kirbys-avalanche.php) (Super NES®, 1-2 players, rated E for Everyone, 800 Wii Points): Everyone's favorite round, pink hero takes a break from swallowing his enemies to put your brain to work in this fast-paced puzzle game. Players take control of Kirby and match wits with well-known enemies from the Kirby series (including his archrival, King Dedede) in an effort to win the First Annual Dream Land Avalanche Competition. The simple-but-addictive game play revolves around brightly colored blobs and boulders. When the right amount of matching blobs are stacked, they explode and rain down on your opponent's field of play. Repeat this until your screen is clear to move on to the next round. But be careful—the farther you advance, the faster the blobs fall and the smarter the opponents get. Are you good enough to help Kirby become the avalanche king?

Streets of Rage™ 3 (http://www.vc-reviews.com/review/411/streets-of-rage-3.php) (Sega Genesis, 1-2 players, rated E 10+ for Everyone 10 and Older - Violence, 800 Wii Points): Just when you thought the world was safe from the Syndicate and its shady leader, Mr. X, they have returned to torment the city once again. Mr. X has developed lifelike robots to take the place of various city officials so he can be in complete control. Now it's up to our old heroes Axel, Skate and Blaze to stop the threat with their amazing fighting skills. With more weapons and combat moves, as well as secret characters and various endings, this return to the streets is one you won't want to miss.

LEGEND OF HERO TONMA (http://www.vc-reviews.com/review/568/legend-of-hero-tonma.php) (TurboGrafx16, 1-2 players, rated E for Everyone - Mild Cartoon Violence, 600 Wii Points): LEGEND OF HERO TONMA is an action game that puts players in control of the magic-user Tonma, whose role - as was typical for game heroes of the day - is to travel to another world and save the princess. Fight your way through seven stages using Tonma's jump ability and shot power. Collect power-ups and barriers to grow in strength and pummel your enemies. Bring that strength to the end of each stage to face off against and defeat the menacing bosses that aim to keep you from the princess. This well-detailed game's comic visuals and feel will have players wanting to come back for more frantic and exciting action.

So...Streets of Rage 2 (the better game) on XBox 360 with online multiplayer for $5 or Streets of Rage 3 on Wii with no online for $8. Hmmmmm

SOR3 had some cool additions with the dash and roll moves, and the gameplay / graphics are mostly similar to SOR2. But...
- the colour palette used just seems dull
- the difficulty is unbalanced
- you can't complete the game on anything less than normal difficulty which is actually pretty damn hard.
- blaze is wearing grey for some reason
- I liked Max (SOR2) better than Zan (SOR3) even though he is hard to use.
- The music is much better in SOR2

Still better than SOR1, but recommend a pass.

SoR2 is better, but SoR3 has my favorite playable character.

He may not be as good as http://www.emulationzone.org/projects/pixelwarehouse/sprites/streets_of_rage_3/shiva.gif
but I still prefer Roo

SOR3 is the best. I cant fucking fathom how most people say otherwise. They took SOR2, which was just average, and improved it in every way. Try playing SOR2 nowadays. You can't. It's awful. All you can do is walk, not run, jump, attack, special, thats about it.

SOR3 added much needed depth to the gameplay, got much more creative with the enemy and stage designs, and the story took itself less seriously which was very welcome. Also the music was just as good.

So throw a little help for a brother in the 360 giveaway. Save me $3 and help me get the superior version.

I tried Streets of Rage 3 via emulation. I can't say the experience was pleasant. I'll stick with the first two titles available for Virtual Console. :(

Heh, if I told you why this was (and why Axel has a yellow t-shirt) you wouldn't believe me XD

I love SoR3.

I'd pick it up if I didn't have a working genesis and a copy.

Well I'm guessing you know that there's a modified rom out there with her outfit changed back to red. Of course the wii version is going to be the original. Still, I'm curious, so shoot!
