I was going to say. I heard about this months ago, but I too am glad it is rolling along. No what about those Go-Bots? They need a movie as well.

Since Michael Bay is the director, I know that the movie will revolve around a giant asteroid on a collision course for earth - only the transformers and a group of oil drillers can stop it!

Micheal Bay should die of syphilus.

Michael Bay is one of the worst directors of all time. Well, I'm sure he's not entirely to blame. It could be that he is an awesome director, and just everything else about all of his movies is terrible.

Could be cool if done well, but I'm not too terribly excited yet. We'll see what happens.

i hope they redo the plot. I want something on earth most of the time. not in space like the animated one.

I seem to recall hearing them talk about how they really need to set most of it on Earth to give us a human element, something we can relate to. I'd say it's a possibility.

Bay would be wise to get as many of the original cast members to do the voices as possible. I know Chris Latta (Starscream) is dead, but the others are must.

I like to post this whenever this topic comes up:

PEARL HARBOR - Team America World Police Soundtrack:

I miss you more then Michael Bay missed the mark
When he made Pearl Harbor
I miss you more than that movie missed the point
And that’s an awful lot girl
And now, now you’ve gone away
And all I’m trying to say is
Pearl Harbor sucked, and I miss you

I need u like Ben Affleck needs acting school
He was terrible in that film
I need u like Cuba Gooding needed a bigger part
He’s way better than Ben Affleck
And now all I can think about is your smile
and that shitty movie too
Pearl Harbor sucked and I miss you

Why does Michael Bay get to keep on making movies?
I guess Pearl Harbor sucked
Just a little bit more than I miss you

I can't even imagine CG tranformers looking anything other than terrible. There was already a transformers movie, it was amazing, and we don't need another one, especially if it is directed by Michael Bay. Ugh.

You must have missed my first link then. Here it is again. This is probably how they will look. If this is just a car commercial, I can't imagine what they would look like in a movie:

At first I was miffed, like a lot of other people, that Michael Bay was attached to this, since most of his movies seem like 2 hour truck commercials. Optimus Prime is a truck, though, so this probably isn't such a bad choice of director.

Plus, regardless of the fact that a lot of us used to watch the cartoon and play with the toys religiously as children, we're talking about something that was little more than a half hour long toy commercial about belligerant transforming robots. As long as the movie has transforming robots, lasers, and dialog like "You haven't seen the last of me, Autobots!," it should be on par with the cartoon. The worst that could happen is Bay could do with it what Ang Lee did with the Hulk movie.

(I'm mostly serious here)

Michael Bay has never really made a movie on his own other than "The Island", his past movies were largely worked with Bruckheimer...and others.

No no the worst that could happen is that he makes a movie about the current generation of pokemon inspired shite that's infecting the children in current day.

It's generation 1 or we hunt him down and burn him at the stake :D
