The folks at NCsoft have given out their packaged video of the Tabula Rasa LOGOS Academy event at Richard Garriott's home in Austin, Texas. Have a look at just what all the fuss was about.

VIDEO IS HERE (http://wire.ggl.com/2007/09/13/tabula-rasa-logos-academy-in-video-form/)

I've actually just recently preordered the game and to say the least I regret it. This game isnt anywhere near the gold status they said it was. The crafting's broken, bugs are everywhere, the combat makes little sense most times hitting the enemy with the butt of your gun does more damage then shooting it. Machine guns are laughably underpowered and a complete waste. The group combat is just chaos, most of the time everyones just running around hitting things and none ever really stops. Mostly everyone are soldiers. Also group combat is mostly a moot point anyway because you can usually solo most of the instances anyway. Wow I feel better now.

Let's just hope for NCsoft's sake it doesn't become another Auto Assault.

Be great if I could play the beta for more than twenty minutes without it blue-screening my computer. I don't think it likes my video card (MSI 8800 Ultra). Otherwise it seems like it could be pretty interesting...

Auto Assault had many problems, least of which was that skank of a community manager Pann. God I hate that bitch.

I'll wait 3 or 4 months or at least 2 major patches, whatever comes first, and then I'll give this a try. The videos make me think it's something I would enjoy but modern MMOs just don't ship in a good state it seems.

I don't give two craps about this game, but I'd love to go to Garriott's crazy castle funhouse.

Crazy castle fun house is absolutely right. He'd make any pack rat jealous.

This seemed like a fun time for those who participated. But it also seems like a lot of money and effort going into promoting a game that could have been better spent on, I dunno, programming or QA maybe.

I haven't played the beta but comments here dissuade me from trying.

Plus, alien invasion?

Been there done that. (http://www.cityofheroes.com/game_update10.html)

Been hearing about Garriotts parties ever since I was a kid. Bastard... would love to go one. Look like a heap of fun.
