You may remember The Experimental Gameplay Project (http://www.experimentalgameplay.com/) and arguably their greatest creation, Tower of Goo (http://www.experimentalgameplay.com/game.php?g=1) (see also the later Tower of Goo Unlimited (http://www.experimentalgameplay.com/game.php?g=17)). Developer Kyle Gabler is taking the mechanic into a full physics-based "adventure" game! (Via RPS (http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/?p=249).)
The first World of Goo trailer (http://2dboy.com/2007/09/10/world-of-goo-gameplay-trailer-1/) is out now, and there's a modest collection of screenshots (http://www.2dboy.com/games.php) available too. I'd watch the video to get a proper sense of what's going on - it looks all the more brilliant in motion.

I'm in love with the art style. Reminds me very much of Jhonen

Well, that was fun. I got my tower up to 28 meters before it crashed :)

I loved Tower of Goo. Huge time sink before they blocked it at my work. I'll definitely be checking this out when it comes out.

Hopefully this will be all of the good bits from Gish with none of the machositic player-punishing. :)

Oooh, Squid like! Art style looks a lot like Lenore. (http://www.nightrose.com/lenore.htm)
Like Loco Roco meets the little bridge builder thing I had to do in my middle school engineering class.
Cool!

Not that I know of, but I deleted the program and they've blocked the download page.

Agreed, very much like Loco Roco, and just as fun!

At first I thought this said "World of Groo" and now I'm all disappointed.

Exactly. When the post first went up, there were no images, and I instantly read, "World of GROO!"
Awwwwww SHUCKS!

Lemmings. With physical goo blobs instead of lemmings.

All this game did for me was remind me why I should never be an architect.
Fun, but my building designs look more like Picasso paintings, then they crash down into a giant heap.

I only managed to make 35M on my ToG regular attempt. On unlimited I went up to 80M before I got bored. Once you come up with a stable setup, you can go forever.
WoG looks like it could be fun, though.

AWESOME. I played Tower of Goo (and the other Experimental Gameplay stuff) when they first came out a couple of years ago. I'm chuffed that the author has decided to take the idea further, there was always a whole bunch of potential in there.

None of this guy's games seem to work for me...it's as if the resolution is ridiculously fucked up; it's all super inflated beyond ridiculousness.
