We've gotten the rare opportunity to interview (http://www.gamingtrend.com/video/Hellgate_London/Hellgate_London.wma) Bill Roper on Hellgate: London (http://www.gamingtrend.com/GameInfo/GameInfo.php?GameID=3338) as he walks us through the first hour of the game. In the interview we covered character creation, ease of use, questing, a rundown of all of the character classes, and Joey's Peg Leg. The interview runs 52 minutes total, with a full text transcription (http://www.gamingtrend.com/Articles/articles.php?artID=284) so you can follow along.
With the Closed Beta starting very shortly, this interview should do a nice job of kicking open the floodgates of information before the October 31st release date.

Nice interview. I wish you'd had time to ask more pointed questions about the subscription model and what it really gets you. I've got a hankering to play the game, but the more I hear about it, the more I think I'll wait for it to hit the bargain bin and play it entirely offline like Titan Quest.

As you can hear, it is really hard to get a word in. The guy speaks very quickly. As we move forward I intend to get follow-up questions and get your questions answered.

Well, a couple months back there was this Games for Windows (or was it EGM) interview all about that...

Well, as I said the interview was good. I understand how these things can be, believe me. I get IT hardware vendors all the time that have 20-45 minutes to convince us why we need to push their newest product and it's always a crazy race to out talk us and not let anyone ask any embarassing questions.

Correct - no video. It is also transcribed to text.

Nice interview -- certain things sound pretty strange (haven't read much on the skill/ability point system and death), but sounds nice so far.
