The title says it all. The redeeming thing about Sonic 2 (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/s/sonic2xboxlivearcade/) is it will feature online co-op play via Xbox Live, thus separating itself from "just another Sonic game".
Sonic 2 will set you back 400 MS Points.
Also this week are content packs for Band of Bugs and Bomberman Live.

Its great they are adding things like the option for online co-op, but does anyone really enjoy playing as Tails in Sonic 2? He's really superflous. Now Sonic 3....he becomes super usefull. Here's hoping for some Sonic 3....or even better, Sonic 3 + Sonic/Knuckles! That's twice today I got to talk about Sonic/Knuckles! :)

Or, if you don't care about co-op, you could just get Sonic Collection for the Xbox, which is BC with the 360, (http://www.google.com/products?q=sonic+collection+%2B+xbox&btnG=Search+Products&scoring=p) and play some fifteen or more Sonic titles...
FOR TEN or so BUCKS!

This is why I don't buy games on the VC. They don't add anything to them when they put them up yet charge more.
Now it's got added features AND it's cheaper then it is on the VC.

I didn't know it has online co-op, but I do know it has online competitive. Remember the split screen mode in Sonic 2? Online. Buying it.

Sonic 2, one of my all-time favorites!
Releasing another Bomberman pack already is pretty shitty though.

Sonic 2 had a co-op mode?
Did they create an entirely new mode for this release? If so, how does it play?

You could always play it co-op. Someone just picks up the second controller and they're playing as Tails.

This was probably my least favourite of the original Sonic games, but I might actually end up getting this and hope for Sonic 3 later.

I certainly don't mind getting new content for a game I like (and I sure do like Bomberman). It's the whole "game came out in July and there's already two expansion packs for it" thing. Somehow I think some of that content could have made it into the original release...

I have that for my PS2.
....it's all about the points. ;)
Ahh, I'm still playing this on My Sega Saturn (Sonic Jam) which also has an enhanced version of Sonic 1 (Now with spin Dash), Sonic 3 and can be hooked upto Sonic and Knuckles. Still, I wouldn't mind this for the points:)

Sure, the original release could've had a lot more content, and cost 1200 points. Instead, they split it up. I'm 100% for that. The only reason I'd agree with you is if the base game wasn't worth the $10 they were charging, and it absolutely is. In fact, if a publisher WERE to release half a game and demand that you pay for additional content to make it worthwhile, well, nobody would buy it.
