"Project Origin" Officially Announced as the sequel to F.E.A.R.

BURBANK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment will publish Project Origin, the videogame sequel to the hit game F.E.A.R., developed by Monolith Productions for the Xbox 360(TM) video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and Games for Windows®. The name was chosen by the fans, as they submitted entries and then voted for the winning submission.

Hopefully there will be some movies or screenshots in the near future.

And honestly, that is all the info I have on the game. Most sites just have that info. If it is not what I think then the Gold edition in DVD format will be my entry.

You actually liked those office levels? That was some of the most painful gaming I had to slog through in a while, only thing keeping me going in there was wanting to see the end.

With a name like Shodan I would have thought you'd appreciate better level design. Fear has nothing on System Shock 2 or Bioshock.

Might be true, I'm still playing S.T.A.L.A.K.E.R. and think I'm about half way through. Some of those underground parts are fucking scary when played at night with a kick ass 5.1 surround. Some parts where I just find a corner and hide, waiting for all the bad things you hear making noises to come into sight...

Just get the original game by itself. The existing "expansions" were farmed out by Vivendi to subpar developers.

I hope that they get to make the game that they want this time. I want to see them make a return to their Alien versus Predator and Blood roots. These guys made some of the scariest game experiences, with the most character, that I have ever had the pleasure of playing.
FEAR is supposed to be a game about AI and combat, most folks though it was supposed to be a survival horror shooter.

F.E.A.R is a solid title. I'm surprised it hasn't had much attention.

Sadly, I can only play it on the lowest settings ... if that.

There is no veil on how conventional Extraction Point is. Short of monster closets, you basically go from mob to mob, killing.
