I found this deal on Fatwallet:

On July 14th and 15th, Alco will have a 40% off coupon good on any ONE product. The coupon is in their weekly circular.

Click on the "Specials" tab, and you should be able to see their circular.

Limited to in stock purchases only.

Link HERE (http://www.duckwall.com/)

If you are lucky to live near an Alco, you might want to stop by and pick one up.

If the PSP doesn't float your boat, you can pick up the Nintendo DS for $90.00 bucks + tax instead.

Thats fucking crazy. If I had an Alco within 100 miles, I'd be really interested.

Oh, I forgot, you might want to pick one up today and go back and return/use the coupon tomorrow as some people are already doing. Lucky bastards.

Perhaps someone will purchase one over there for us and we shall pay shipping plus a little to make it worth their while...?

Looking at their map with their store locations, I consider myself being lucky NOT to live near where they are! :D

1) I'm just a few miles north of Provo, but that is one place I consider myself lucky not living in. (anything fun is illegal there)

2) What makes you think they sell PSPs at ALCO? Looks more like the kind of hick place that sells refurbished first gen Gameboys...

Theres an Alco about 30mi from here but it sucks so much I didnt realize they sold electronics like that. Im thinking about buying one and then reselling it (still under retail) for a little bit of cash. But then again Im lazy.

Yeah, Alco sells current games and hardware for at least $10 over the MSRP. So almost all games are $60. Even the old ones. But is that coupon printable? or do you have to have the actual magazine the add is in?

I drove a bit south into Indiana to go to Alco. They had three available and plenty of weekly flyers when you walk in to get yourself a coupon without needing to print anything out. It was $250 marked down to $150 just as they said. I can't imagine finding a better deal on a legit new PSP for some time.

These are some posts from people at Fatwallet where I found the deal:

"WARNING! and SCORE!

I just came back from ALCO. There is a sign posted on the video game cabinet that states "Promotional discounts a % off coupons cannot be used with Sony and Nintendo video games" Under that there is fine print of "Playstation I, Playstation II, Game Cube, Game Boy"
YMMV.

I was ready to point out that it doesn't mention PSP, and that the unit itself is not a 'video game.' However, I didn't point out the sign, and no on mentioned it. I got one of the limited edition packs that comes with the free SpiderMan 2 movie and demo disc. The cashier said "Wow, that took $100 bucks off!" Duh."

And another:

"162.36 final price."

And another:

"I scored 2 of them this morning!" <--He probably used a friend or went back a second time.

And another:

"There was only 1 PSP left at Wapakoneta after I bought mine. Is either gone by now, or will be soon."

Lucky bastards.

Hell yes.
After driving six hours total, I got my PSP.
One of you bastards hit up the store at Vermillion (there at 8 in the morning!) and got three of them, so I had to drive to Paulding but goddammit, I got it.
I love you guys.

I went to the ALCO in New Lebenon near Dayton, Ohio. They'd sold out of the PSP at 8:00 AM when the store opened and they said plenty of people had been in all day snatching things up at a heavy discount. The Nintento DS was on sale at the store for 149.99 (10$ off their price), so no using the coupon on that, but I picked up an XBOX Value Pack for 119.99, 80$ off their regular price of 199.99. The manager said something about putting what they had left on sale Friday, to prevent the same kind of rush they had today.
