Harvey Birdman, of the late, lamented Adult Swim cartoon, will be hitting the Wii in addition to the previously announced PS2 and PSP versions of the game.

The game, apparently very closely inspired by Capcom's Phoenix Wright series, will ship November 13th, with the PS2 and PSP versions setting you back $30 and the Wii version costing $40, although reports indicate that the Wii version will not have any added content.

Thanks to Next-Gen (http://www.next-gen.biz/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=7042&Itemid=53)

Why are they only rolling out Adult Swim video games now, instead of two or three years ago?

HaHaaaa. Overpriced next gen ports.

Mmm, I'm excited for this. The last episode of HB:AaL was a bittersweet moment for me, and this should be a nice pick me up.

Yeah. Spoilers: It's sad he's gone forever, but I am comforted in knowing he died at the top of his game.

I hope Stephen Colbert will be doing the voice for Phil Ken Seben in the game, assuming he's in there at all.

"Hey lady, how about a yank? HA HA, Dislocation..."

The Phil Ken Sebben "Ha Ha!" is pretty common place in our home. If this game manages to get even a fraction of the talent on board for the show to voice it, I might have to rent it.

And here I was thinking I'd have to buy it to play on old tech.

Hang on a minute...

(Still - They've got a sale from me)

I'd honestly rather get a port of the Aqua Teen Hunger Force game to the Wii.

But it looks like that game is staying on the PS2. Haven't seen any announcement of another platform.

considering how hilarious the first and second seasons are and how much I love them...why the fuck don't I have them on DVD?

I read an official description of this. It's basically Phoenix Wright, down to every small detail. Except it goes for full marks in the humor side without getting sidetracked by drama (Not that it's bad, I've been very outspoken on my love of Wright Drama)... And it's Harvey Birdman. This is a definite buy for me, ESPECIALLY since I am 100% sure the Phoenix Wright translators will be doing the dialogue. I don't even give a shit which system I get it on, I just want it.

I am amazed that someone is ripping off Phoenix Wright. I am overjoyed that it is Birdman.

You mean in the same way Nintendo ripped off Zelda with StarTropics? :p

I'm not mad. I think this is the only way that a company could make a Phoenix Wright that is NOT Phoenix Wright and not get slammed for "just copying"

No no, I'm not claiming you're mad. I'm simply mocking you and hoping that it isn't because you missed the fact that both Phoenix Wright and this are made by the same company, in which case I'd have to mock you even harder. That's just the rules, I don't make them. I just follow 'em. ;)

I used StarTropics Vs Zelda in that I'm near positive Birdman would be handled entirely by the US division, much like StarTropics was one of the few games to be done entirely by Nintendo of America.

But luckily, I think it's more that you have an odd habbit of using the term 'Ripoff' in a way that could apply to one entity copying its own idea into a new format, right?

...Right?

No, YOUR face is dumb.

I got that after your first post, but I think the public would still crucify a Phoenix Wright styled game that wasn't Phoenix Wright, even if the same company made it.

But not Birdman.

Alrighty then, I see where you're coming from, and I agree for that matter. I've seen some gamers make more absurd connections than this very often, so I would not be surprised at such a reaction. :D

I just need to run the procedural fun-poking based on policy, unless I wanna get demoted to 'Lower Wise-ass' by the higher ups.

This thread may now continue upon it's planned route. Move along, nothing to see here!

I just imagined myself dramatically finger-pointing! (At the TV holding a Wii Remote, while Harvey Birdman does it on the screen!)

My boyfriend is going to snatch this up so quickly. Srsly.
