360 HD-DVD Drive Price Drop in Europe Coming Soon

At a recent trade show in Germany Microsoft announced a cut in the recommended retail price of the HD-DVD drive accessory for the Xbox 360 in Europe - from €200 to €180, a €20 drop. This brings it closer in line with the US price of the unit, which now sells for $180.

The price drop has not gone into effect in stores yet, but it should any time now.

I know a friend of mine is eager to get one, but I keep telling him to delay purchasing because of the imminent price drops that appears to be happening in other countries!!! Grrrrrrr......eh! ;)
