Comingsoon.net has an interview (http://www.comingsoon.net/news/topnews.php?id=10340) with Sean Bean, where he talks a bit about his upcoming role in the videogame-turned-movie Silent Hill.
Sounds like a good one!

I have a sneaking suspicion he will die. Sean Bean always dies. He's not always the bad guy, but damn can he die. Come to think of it, the only time I have ever watched anything where he didn't die was old reruns of Sharpe. And he is such a good actor too....
Him and poor Liam Neeson need to stop dying if films. Sure, when they die, its just so awesome, but these guys actually know how to act! Fuck, kill off a couple of Aflecks for a change....

I keep hearing promising things about the Silent Hill movie. You know, Konami's in charge of the monster designs? And I think the music too. They're finishing up the filming now.

You mean Ewe Bowls, or whatever that inept director's name is, isn't doing this one?

Uwe Boll? god no. I don't even... no, too much. That must not be spoken of. I mean, look what that bastard did to Alone in the dark. ugh. Now the thought is in my head!

Sorry, also I think his name should be spelled how I did it, much more representitive of his movies. Ewe "as in stinks" Bowls "as in like shit"

Hell, if we are going to change his name, might as well go all the way and just tell it like it is, like Douche-Bag Mother Fucker...or something.

No, they actually want this one to do well, and not just be a German tax writeoff.

I'm hoping they have someone experienced in doing Japanese horror films do this. If it's done well, I'll be in heaven. Silent Hill is easily my favourite horror game series.

I hope they have the guts to absolutely smother every scene in fog. And let's see some city streets paved with chain-link and head-snapping beasties underneath.
I hope it's at least as good as its film inspiration, Jacob's Ladder. Otherwise, it seems like an awful long trip to get nothing done.

Silent Hill is going to kick ass simply because Christophe Gans, director of Brotherhood of the Wolf, is behind it. I think he's a perfect fit for the movie.
Wow, I'm excited about a videogame-inspired movie. What's the world coming to?

We can't forget that Roger Avary, "Pulp Fiction" co-writer, also helped to write the screenplay for this upcoming Silent Hill movie.

It sounds like they are basing it off the first game, which is cool. But we need a damn Pyramid Head cameo in the movie. Seeing a real-life Pyramid Head would probably make me shit my Pampers.
