Nintendo also states they will be releasing mp4 encoding software as well.

Anyone tried the play-yan?

Yeah and it works pretty good as soon as you figure out to speak a foreign language.
This is what I have liked bout Nintendo, they keep the cost lower by allowing you to forgo extras if you like. Like when the Cube did not have a DVD player but cost so much less at launch, which worked out fine for people who were ahead of the game and already had a dvd player. Save the green when you can.

Yeah, it works pretty "well". It is cool that you can keep a ds game plugged in the back and the Play-yan in the front gba slot with a season of Family guy on it. The sound is good too. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.

Wouldn't this be fantastic for that micro coming out? You could take that bitch anywhere. So how much room is exactly on these things? I really need the quality, so I can't even fit a whole DVD on a 512 card for the PSP.

I just downloaded some p0rn in that format a few days ago. Wonder what Nintendo would say to that.

With the size of the micro's screen, I doubt quality will be an issue.
How much does this play-yan thing run for, anyways?

80 USD at liksang.com, (http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=246&products_id=6239&) my preffered importer at least.

Well, I can only fit Blade Trinity on my cell phone with the quality toned down, and I tell ya, even on that screen there is a difference. Now I just took one chapter and uped the quality quite a bit and it's fantastic. I believe the smaller the screen, the worse a low quality video looks. On the PSP I lowered the quality and it didn;t look as bad, mainly because the screen is bigger and you can see more.

I've enjoyed my GBA Movie Player. But I want one to hurry up and come out designed for the DS, better resolution, stereo sound, c'mon!

I think I'll stick with my laptop for movie watching.

Well, they just announced today a firmware update that does stereo sound so that's good.

You just buy sd cards for this so you can get as big as you want.
