I just received this announcement in an email from Stardock. From the email:
Stardock is proud to announce the second expansion pack to Galactic Civilizations II. The new expansion pack, entitled Galactic Civilizations II: Twilight of the Arnor, picks up where Dark Avatar left off. The new expansion pack includes unique technology trees per player, Terror Stars, updated invasion screens, new starbase options, special ships and components, and much more. It is scheduled to arrive this November for $29.95, but if you pre-order it now, you can get it for only $24.95.

I'm a huge fan of Stardock and their games. Can't wait for this one.

I'm going to have to preorder this right now. The cool part is that in the past, Stardock has made all beta builds available for preorder customers as soon as possible.

I would pre-order but.. I must wait for my next-next paycheck to do so.
Cool. I'll have to preorder.

Yet another reason why I'm such a big fan of Stardock.

And if you got the earlier email with a coupon code in it, you got 25% off on the already discounted preorder price. Got mine preordered for $18.71 :)

Did they ever add a ship listing so you could see what ships you had designed and the tech you needed to research?

Kinda, they added in a thing some time ago where you could see which items in the research tree you need for the current custom made ships that you have saved.

I respect what they do, but I cannot stand turn based gameplay. But like every nintendo fan, whom I loathe, you slap that fat fucking plumber onto Final Fantasy, and I am all over that.

All I read of the headline at first was "Twilight of the Arnor", and I clicked on it expecting to see some kind of expansion for Lord of the Rings online or something.
As far as Gal Civ 2 goes, I played it aggressively for a while, but I fairly quickly tired of the micromanaging. Strange, being as I can sustain weeks of solid Civ 4 or Alpha Centauri gaming, but this one cooled quickly for me.
