Gamegossip (http://www.gamegossip.com/) has the scoop (http://gamegossip.com/pressrelease.php?id=14005) on Vivendi announced plans to release three Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon packs for the Game Boy Advance.
The first two volumes will be released towards the end of July, with Volume One featuring Crash N-Tranced (the second Crash title for the GBA) and Spyro: Season Of Ice. Volume Two will include Crash Nitro Kart and Spyro: Season Of Flame; with Volume Three including Crash Fusion and Spyro Fusion. Volume three of the packs will be released sometime during 2005.
No word on the price though...

I really wish they would do something new with these 2 franchises on current gen consoles. It seems like they just keep re-releasing the same stuff over and over.

You'll notice both Insomniac and Naughty Dog dropped their respective franchises at the begining of the current generation. I think they wanted to leave each series at a high point in quality. So much for that, thanks to the publisher...

I suppose Sony should be accorded part of the blame.

I hope this doesn't happen to Ratchet & Clank and/or Jak & Daxter. :(

Too late as far as Jak and Daxter is concerned, thanks to Jak cart racing or whatever the fuck it is going to be called.

Jak & Daxter already jumped the shark with Jak II "EXTREEEEEMEEEEEEE". Less focus on the platforming that made the original so great, the addition of stupid GTA-esque gimmicks and a huge empty city with absolutely no purpose. Oh, and some guns. And then Jak 3, with even less platforming and much more pointless driving in a empty, barren desert. And you even get to return to Haven city, except it's all in ruins and there's lots more stupid and pointless filler material missions to be found there.
The games are still enjoyable, if somewhat frustrating at points. But I just wish Naughty Dog had stuck with the things that made the first game so much fun. Then again, Sony own the studio now... which is perhaps one of the reasons we're getting Jak: Xtreme Kart Racing XXL.
As for Ratchet & Clank, I think all three games released so far have been highly enjoyable. I have some doubts about that new Deadlocked sequel since it's apparently mostly centered on multiplayer (Despite the PS2 lacking a proper online structure, hurrah Sony) and I really just prefer fun singleplayer content. But whatever.
And then there's the third and totally overlooked Sly Raccoon games, which I really like. If anything, I think the Sly and Ratchet games turned out far better than the Jak games throughout this generation.

Who the hell is still buying Crash and Spyro games!?!?! I have a six year old who is bored with the same crappy repetitive formula. He's 6!
