View Full Version : CoD 4 registration details coming later today!!!

We are all very well aware of the imminent release of the Call of Duty 4 Beta and the goodies it will offer once it hits those servers. However, there’s one thing that Infinity Ward has kept from us ever since they announced the Beta and that is the way we can sign up for it. The fog surrounding what will take to be one of the lucky first to get in the Beta will be lifted as soon as later today.
Here is the news on the pre-registration details scheduled to become available today at 5pm PST:
The beta is going to roll out in waves. Rather than just putting a million people in the beta and hope nothing goes wrong, we will ramp up the playercount over time.
As fourzerotwo mentioned, right now some friends/family are testing. The press will be joining in the next couple days — including those of you who make it into the first wave.
Details on how to register for your chance to be in the beta will be posted tomorrow at 5pm PST*. So stay tuned for details, it will be a limited time offer.
*= this may not be the only way to ever get in the beta, but it is the way to have a chance to get in the early waves.
Looks like it's almost time to get our hands dirty with this hotly anticipated title!!

I got into the Friends and Family portion, but I doubt I'll even be able to play until after PAX. :( Got my key and everything.....

"The information was announced by Studio Head of Infinity Ward, Jason West, so whatever is said above will materialize today at 5pm PST. Keep in mind that the US is first on the list to be eligible for the Beta with other territories planned to follow at a later date.
Make sure you get your alarm clocks set for 5pm PST (3pm CET), American CoD fans."

I finally got around to renting CoD3 and I sure hope 4 isn't like it. I hated the turret levels and driving, and rowing.. wtf.. I want to shoot bad guys.. I'll be renting CoD4 because of this and not outright buying it like I thought I would.

I believe CoD3 was made by a different developer, so I don't think you have to worry.

Call of duty 4 is was one my must buys this year. I cant wait till the beta starts.

Exactly, that is why I skipped 3 and continued playing 2 while waiting for 4 :)

I only played the first one, which was a really great game. I burned myself out on WWII games though, so I couldn't get myself excited about CoD2. Number 4 is certainly getting me very excited though.

If I'm correct thats one of the reason behind CoD3 not showing on the PC and been released just for the consoles.

Maybe the turret levels weren't well done in COD3, I just finished COD2 again for the fourth time and the tank bits are fun, even the turret levels can be fun. They're really only 10% of the game tho.

Yes but 2 also had that same kind of stuff just not as much and 4 has it as well, just not as much.

So far from the info released, you're gonna be using a gunship. I looked up youtubes and those things are MEAN.
If any of you have seen the recent Transformers movie, remember plane they called in to blast Scorponok to bits? With the massive .50 calbre sabot rounds? That's what you'll be using.

Yes it's a C-130 and that level is very fun.

I can't give any details I can say that out of the 3 SP levels I played they were pretty cool.
