Dangerous Doodling on the DS

So you think you have what it takes to doodle, eh? Tragnarion Studios and their up coming Nintendo DS game, Doodle Hex, will soon put your skills to the test. (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=170350)

It's called Doodle Hex, and the dev describes it as "a game of magical duelling where aspiring 'Doodlers' compete head-to-head for fun and glory. Two 'Doodlers' fight by drawing runes onto the DS touch screen, in real time, to create powerful and fun spells to inflict on their opponent, such as blasts of fire or curses that shake the opponent's screens, turn their own spells back on them and even turn them into a frog!"
Doodle Hex is set to release in early 2008.

There are 2 problems with a game like this that become evident as soon as you hear about it:
1.) The 2 Player requirement. I can see it being very fun, but some of us live in a world where not everyone you know owns a Nintendo DS.
2.) If you do manage to find someone to play, 50% of that playtime will be lost to one of you two trying to use the "penis" rune.

Its worth pointing out its distinctive art style, which was what first made me notice it.

In a stroke of genius, Tragnarion Studios created a rune "Expelliarmus" that knocks the DS out of your opponent's hands, breaking the DS and necessitating them to purchase a new one (EvAv edition?) before they can get their friend back.

All jokes aside, I think this game looks pretty badass. I'm really, REALLY diggin' the art style. And the premise sounds really unique - the only thing that sucks is finding another person to play with.

I had that game, and I agree... judging by the artwork it's Lost Magic with goth girls in mind. That or the sad people that crush on girls who don't know how to put on makeup without looking like they are covering up a black eye.

You know, the only problem with what sounds like a great multiplayer game is the fact that it's multiplayer and you might need more people to play it with.
