Just hit this morning.

My internet cant keep up with all these demos, im still downloading Bioshock demo and its been 30 hours. Damn you ministry of communication for not laying out landlines and fiber optics before people live in new areas!

At least we have electricity and running water...right?

Not to worry, I just booted up my US account and got Eternal Sonata and Katamari. Had forgotten all about ES.

I really want to see if Beautiful Katamari is going to be worth shelling out the $$ for. I love Katamari to death but therein lies the problem... I've already played the first two games to death.

That won't stop me from snagging the demo though :)

Oh good. I just saw that it is going to be a budget title, which it should be. Hooray! I can actually justify picking it up!

Never played it but there is crazy hype surrounding this title. To be honest, videos and screenshots look kind of silly to someone who has never played the game before.
Going to play the demo for sure to see what all the fuss is about.It is all about the silliness. This is the kind of game that gets made by people on some kind of hallucinogen.

There ya go. They've got the standard suite of Katamari sounds, some groovy music from one of the first two games (I think it's from the original) and the King Of All Cosmos is as silly as ever.

My PS3 gets no use at all these days , and thats a shame. The store is still beyond pathetic with the exception of a few titles..calling all cars is good but there is just not enough good content on there.

Based on this quote i checked to see how many demos the PSN has on it. I counted 21 demos including arcade game demos!!! Is that completely unacceptable or what??? 360 has easily more than 5 times that.

On the EU store there's only 10 demos of retail titles. Demos has a great impact on which games I buy. I rarely buy games without trying a demo, unless it's known AAA titles. Sony needs to push publishers to put their demos on PSN.

I'm with you there. Hopefully it will go for around $40. My wallet is gonna be so beat this year... good thing I got about a $500 bonus coming at me in October! :) I'm definately gonna need all the monetary help I can get!

Played the demo, and it's the same Katamari I know and love. The first two games were amazing, and anyone could pick them up and play within like 2 minutes of learning the controls... which are easy to learn in themselves. I'm glad to see they kept the control scheme from the PS2 games.

You have a ball, you roll it around, stuff sticks to it. The ball gets bigger, bigger stuff sticks to it, lather, rinse, repeat.

I mean, if you are not at all familiar with the basic concept of the Katamari games, it's kind of hard to describe the appeal of the game.

Just go try the demo. You'll see what I'm talking about :)

I would say that between Stranglehold, Bioshock, and now this, this past week has been a really kickass week for demos. It almost makes the week's wait for Bioshock bearable...

Well ... with the latest 3G's of space that was required for those other 2 demo's this week, i'm all out of space. I don't want to have to delete any of my HD VP cartoons. So, I was hoping for something along the line of " OMG this is wicked awesome, better than any of the other versions for x&y reason".

I guess i'll have to make some sort of sacrafice tonight in order to download the demo. Did someone also mention hitting the bong as a pre-req for this?

Will download it tonight when I get back from work.

I enjoyed the first one a lot, but I got kind of tired of it by the second. After awhile, it just seemed like a little too much rolling.

Hope the music's as excellent/fun as it is in the first two games! I actually own the soundtracks of all three Katamari games out right now.

Man, a demo of this game would be almost as good as having the game. For something that's free, it's gotta be totally worth a download.

It's only one 3-minute level...and it apparently crashed after completion; the screen faded to black and stayed as such until I restarted my 360.

Honestly, if you want to get a feel for how Beautiful Katamari will play...just go play either of the PS2 games; its the exact same experience, only better looking.

Same Katamari gameplay, but in HD and (most noticably) at a rock-solid 60fps. I'll drop $40 on that.

The controls take a bit getting used to if you're a seasoned ps2 version player. Other than that its pretty sweet. I know they are "the same" but the few inchs between the thumbsticks makes me react in weird ways.

I kind of wish they had used a better song for the demo and made it about 5 minutes long.

but with online play and the overall happy attitude I'm sure i'll need some Katamari action inbetween all the seriousness I'll be playing this fall (you know the list).

Looking forward to the release!

Too short and The King doesn't seem to get upset when you're trying to skip his intro. I like the controls though, they feel better than the ones in the previous games.

Oh man, I can't wait for the release of the fourth Katamari Damacy album. It's nice they released a downloadable single. Oh, and I see you get a little bit of that game they always package in with the music! I love these interactive CDs.

No. I trip over balls of rolled up crap all over my home. My children are a demolition derby. What was clean at 9 p.m. is a landfill by the next afternoon.

Oh...and dust. Everywhere. Billowing. I could film a western in my living room without imported or CG tumbleweeds. :D
