If you have a compatible wireless card, the demos that were being broadcasted at the E3 Nintendo booth are now available for download here (http://akkit.org/DS/E3/). More information is available here (http://complexigon.blogspot.com/2005/06/download-demos-for-your-nds.html). Sadly I don't have one of the required network cards so I can't test it, but I have a few of those games JPN version anyway so hopefully I don't miss out on too much. This would be a very cool feature if Nintendo started using it to give out free demos.

Let us know how it turns out. If it works well I'll buy one too so I can try out Advance Wars and Under the Knife before buying them.

So, in order to get to play these demos...we need a wireless network and that boot program? Is the boot program hard to set up?

Hopefully someone will port this to OSX.

There's a very thorough step by step guide if you follow the links, but the biggest problem is that it requires a very specific kind of wireless network card; they have a list of all the compatible ones on the site.

Wow oh wow! This is the best walkthrough yet. It is EASY! Thje script they give you hosts ALL these game demos. Simply start your DS, select download play and choose a demo.

There is some wacky Japanese game where you use your DS touch screen to battle with huge wooden robots while you run along rooftops. It's freakin' brilliant!

I've been wanting to play the DS Submarine Tech Demo since last year's E3. It is super cool but very hard. Had to try it 6 times or so before I could make it to the end.

Wait..will a wireless network card connect your DS for online also, or do you still need a router for that?

And if so, will rev also work with just a card or require a router?

Have a read through of their guide... It should answer all questions. Seeing as you need to delete the existing driver of the network card and replace it with one for this program, you will need a seperate internet connection if you want to be online at the same time.

In order to download the demos to your DS, you simply need a wireless network card with a supported chipset.

This wireless card is configured to do nothing but talk to the DS. It isn't used for getting online.

Likewise, this card does not take your DS online either. It is just used for the DS Download play option.

You know how some DS games allow you to download a demo from another DS? Well, in this case your PC becomes the other DS and you can send demos wirelessly to your real DS.

Old news indeed. I was wondering if this would ever be brought it.

It's a blast though I must admit. Playing the Goemon demo encouraged me to import it, as did the Meteos demo and now the Advance Wars demo.

Goemon! That't the game! I've never heard of it. Very wacky and super fun!

You can replace the drivers whenever you want to turn your DS wireless card into a regular wireless card.

You can do all those steps up to the point where it starts talking about the flash card if you have one of the compatible wireless card listed here (http://ralink.rapla.net/).

It let's you put demos such as the ones found here (http://akkit.org/DS/E3/) onto your DS without needing a flashcart.
