http://uploads.evilavatarcomics.com/DoctorSetebos/some_red_pokemon.jpgFirst, you had to collect them all in a video game. Then, Nintendo had you collecting them in card game form. Now, you have to collect the tiny figurines (http://go-pokemon.com/tfg/). Like an unholy bastardization of HeroClix, here comes the Pokémon Trading Figure Game. Here, let me show you them (http://go-pokemon.com/tfg/news/articles/03.html)!

Gives new meaning to the phrase, Got to catch them all, doesn't it.

If they have high production values and the rules are simple enough I'm sure the franchise will continue to print money.

That picture thing looks pretty cool actually.
not that I would buy any of these. but I'm sure they will have no problem selling them.

I think if they'd come out with this when I first bought the game boy game like 10 years ago, I would have found a way to buy every single one. As it stands, I'll have fun with the DS one when I'm on vacation, and I'll try not to think about it otherwise.

I love minifig games. I have a ton of HeroClix figurines, and even though I don't play Halo, the HaloClix (http://www.haloactionclix.com/) look pretty slick. I have to admit, I've never had any interest in collecting teh Pokémans before, but this might manage to suck me in.

And they shall have them!! I can already see kids lined up at long folding crammed into the comic/game shop on Saturday battling each other with their pokeclix.

I'm ashamed to admit I know this, but these have been round for a while now...

I was at a pop culture convention last October and there was a massive promotional stand for them, they were giving away crazy amounts of merchandise for just trying out their various games.

Because I had nothing to do til a panel in 3 hours time, I sat down with a friend for a game for a laugh.

The game is incredibly basic but I'm sure the little kids will eat it up.

When I got up to leave they gave me the first two seasons of pokemon on dvd just for trialing it for five minutes....

Wow... thats weird. These have been out for a few months already in Australia.

Pokemon down-under sells really well, but for some reason these things are selling poorly

Go figure
