Branching out a bit, GoGamer (http://www.kqzyfj.com/click-386578-171950) has started to carry some PC accessories in addition to PC and console gaming titles. When I ordered a copy of Battlefield 2 from them (for Editor bapenguin), they also sent me a Flexiglow Cyber Snipa PC Keypad and a Flexiglow xRaider Illuminated Gaming Mouse Pad.

Just like you see, the Cyber Snipa is a small keyboard substitute with oversized WASD keys to make it easier to play first person shooters. The product is really just a small version of Zboard's gaming keyboard (also available from GoGamer (http://www.kqzyfj.com/click-386578-171950)) without the custom game-themed keyboard.
If you look at the pix I took above, you will see that the advantage the Cyber Snipa has over the Zboard is that it doesn't take up much space, allowing you to totally move your keyboard out of the way. Since I was playing Battlefield 2 and a joystick is a requirement (if you want to fly a plane it is...) getting that keyboard out of the way and making room for my joystick was a priority - and the Cyber Snipa made this possible.
There are no drivers to install, it just plugs into a spare USB port and then you configure the keys inside the game.
At $34.90 (use code SNIPE5 to get an additional $5.00 off) it will run you a lot less than a $49.99 Zboard and you don't have to spend the additional $19.90 for a Battlefield 2 themed keyset. I'm still fond of the Zboard, but this is a great alternative at a fair price.
<commercial> GoGamer (http://www.kqzyfj.com/click-386578-171950) has a whole line of PC gaming accessories including products from Flexiglow, Razor (I want one of those Razer Diamondback Plasma Limited Edition Gaming Mice!), Saitek and other great manufacturers. Please check out their selection when you order your next game. </commercial>
Please use the above GoGamer.com links when ordering these items.

the Razer Plasma is sooooo sexy.
How is that mousepad? How does it compare to the RatPadz? My radpadz has seen the end of it's day and I'm looking for something new....I might have to pick it up if it's any good.

It is pretty good. It is about the same material as fUnc mousepad on top, with the clear lighted surface around the outside. The only disadvantage is that it uses up a USB port.

eh...USB ports are a dime a dozen now a-days. I think I have 8 or something. :)

USB enabled mouse pads? Holy crap, do they sell electric spoons as well? I have a Microsoft IntelliMouse and a Logitech trackball, both of which work just fine without any mousepad at all. What would an electronic mouse pad be good for?
Also, I noted the toilet paper to the far left. You have your gaming PC in the bathroom? Wish I could do that, but my wife would kill me because the trips I take from the computer room to the rest room are the only times we get to be together. =(

Allergies. I thought I moved that out of the way before I took the picture. Heh.

Yes... is it better than my lovely Nostromo Speedpad N52?

You do need to upgrade that mouse. No scroll wheel even. Here at work when I have to fix a computer without a wheel it drives me insane. Looks like it could be good. Though I use a weird setup playing with the arrow keys and I hold my hand somewhat sideways. hard to describe really.

51|RandoM: Do you have open two instances of battlefield 2? If not how do you enable dual monitor support for it?
I have a Func 1030 pad but almost never use it. I find that it hurts my wrist to lean against it for long hours. Instead I use my rubber foam mat with my MX1000. Love the mouse, probably the best ever created in the history of rodents attached to computers.
Oh and a USB port for a light is nothing too odd.. I've seen gadgets that heat up a cup of coffee using a usb port.

That window on the other display isn't bf2, it is ATC for bf2.

Geez Random... you wanna borrow my snow shovel to clean that desk with? LOL
Sweet that you got the X45 thing going though. Loves me some Saitek goodness.
I really wanted the X52 until I found out it didn't have the rocker under the throttle for rudder control. Rudder control by twisting the stick sucks ass. I wish Saitek would pay Church to update his pedal drivers to 2000/XP specs. *sigh*
Anyhow, lemme know if you wanna borrow that shovel. ;)

I have one of those Plasma Razer mice. Its a great fit for those of us wit long, skinny fingers. Oh, and the thing glows more of a light blue than the dark color they show on the site, more like ice than plasma.

stick twist for rudder sucks compared to a rocker or pedals, but is better than nothing.
Try twisting that stick for right rudder when you're doing an inside left diving turn, lol.
Is an hp 2335 and yep, it pivots.

I was doing the equivalent last night in an MW4: Mercs match while backpedaling, turning right, twisting left, and looking down at a puny little Black Hawk that thought it could CoD my Mad Cat. *zap!*
So, yeah. Twist-rudder for life!

That's a pretty good idea. It's just too bad they had to make the WASD, QE keys oversized and kinda crazy looking. I wouldn't want to get used to completely different buttons (if I even could), only to have to go back to a standard KB and get used to that all over again.

I picked one of these up and it is extremely useful. Especially for FPS's, but I use if for all my pc games.

Wad? As in the guy off the BI forums?
And, yes, yes it is. I've never had a problem with rudder-twist either on my Saitek Evo or on the MS Sidewinder I had before that. Of course, I mostly use them for MW4 (kickass game), but even in Crimson Skies it just felt natural.
Damn GTA and its non-mappable analog support though

How many other jackasses have you seen using this handle? I mean, I can't even get my own teammates to spell it right, nevermind running across someone else using a word I made up in 12th grade (10 years ago?! *owch*).

Yeah those are pretty cool. I demod one at E3 a couple years ago. After you get over the uneasy feeling that half your keyboard is missing, is starts to feel pretty cool.
