ET:QW is official (http://community.enemyterritory.com/index.php?q=node/100), with the Europeans getting it a few days early September 28th.
This is the moment you have been waiting for: id Software CEO Todd Hollenshead just announced the official release date for the PC version of Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars during the id press conference at QuakeCon! Without further ado, here's the scoop: ETQW is slated to ship in North America on October 2, 2007, while Europeans will get their hands on it the Friday before (September 28). Mark your calendars, gentlemen!

bap, I think that's only the release date for the PC version of Quake Wars. I'm pretty sure the 360 and PS3 version won't be shipping until next year.

EDIT: That's one.Announced during Quakecon most likely. Quake Wars was. IGN saying the same thing (http://ps3.ign.com/articles/810/810523p1.html). I'm happy to hear about both, but sad that my attention will be split with all the games.

And after trying the beta a little bit ago for QW.. they can keep it, runs like absolute ass on my machine. 3200+ Gig of DDR2, 6800GT at modest settings. Yeah I know, not a top of the line rig by any means. But having had no issues with BF2141, Doom3, or Quake4 all 3 with similar graphics I'm not sure why QW:Enemy Territory plays like a slide show.

The Warhawk release date and price have also been announced. Aug 28 and $40 / $60 for the download and retail respectively. $40 is a lot of money for a download especially since the $60 retail comes with the manuals, case, and a bluetooth headset. I think $30 would have hit the sweet spot. Ah well then again people bitched about the GHII songs costing a lot but then 300K people went out and bought them anyway.

Yeah, if I pickup Warhawk it's going to be the retail box just so I can get the headset as well.
