The US Playstation store has been updated for the week, and here's what they've put up (thanks to PS3Fanboy (http://www.ps3fanboy.com/2007/08/02/american-psn-updates-for-august-2nd/)) :
Blast Factor : Advanced Research ($4.99)
The Darkness demo
GRAW2 demo
Michael Clayton movie trailer
Get Smart movie trailer
The Game Plan movie trailer
UPDATE :
Resident Evil 5 Wallpaper
Super Rub A Dub is now $2.99
Not bad. The Blast Factor expansion looks pretty good (http://blog.us.playstation.com/2007/07/31/blast-factor-advanced-research-coming-soon/). Nice to see the demo for The Darkness finally show up, as it's been on the Euro PS Store for a good 2 weeks now.

You bought the multiplayer pack for Blast Factor, bap??
I need to know, does that included online multiplayer or just local?
I've been looking for that answer for a while, and can't find a definite one anywhere.

GRAW 2 demo? Wow, that's out of left field (for me at least) considering there is no RB6 demo yet (or is there)?
Well, I'll download it just because I'm dying to see the difference between the PS3 version and the 360 version. Yah, I'm that guy.

Not sure, I bought it for local play. If anyone else has it I can try playing with them tonight. :)

Meh, it's only 3 bucks anyway. I suppose I could pick it up at that price, just to see. I'll use the local play eventually anyway (once I get a second controller).

I thought it was local play too, but I've seen people say things like "I'm going to buy the addon to play online" and stuff like that... which made me question it.
Those people are most likely just misinformed though. I would assume, if it was online play, I'd have heard more about it, and they would tout it when you look at it in the store.

I believe that it's for online multiplayer, but I'll have to read up on that now.

"Blast Factor™ Multiplayer Pack
Co-Op Mode: Up to four players can share a single co-op score and play as teammates. Try to beat the standard set of levels together and post a co-op high score to the leaderboards. Work together to avoid collisions and knocking into enemies and amplify your moves into larger and more forceful effects.
Grudge Match: Allows up to four players to battle against each other in a fight for survival. Players can hit each other with the Repulsor causing their ship to be pushed away by the force just like an enemy.
Accelerated Time: Players can now play the game with up to 150% speed increase. With higher risks come higher rewards. How far can you push your score?"
Well, is that vague enough for everyone??

No online according to IGN (http://ps3.ign.com/objects/884/884440.html) :
This first expansion pack for the game adds multiplayer to the game, allowing up to four gamers (in local play, no online mode) to shoot through the cells in Grudge Match or Co-Op play. Also featured are speed-up options (in Single and Multiplayer modes), improved graphics, new Co-Op leaderboard functions, and adjusted point values in AT and 2xAT modes.

Dear Sony,
Please start providing PSN content that is worth turning on my system. Microsoft is giving us one or two games a week, plus trailers and demos all the time, and this is the best you can do for a whole week?

There should be. In the blog post yesterday for it they said that there would be a demo available.

Um...actually I do. Call of Duty 2, GRAW, Dead Rising, etc....plenty to give me a reason to turn my system on. Heck, even Hexic was enough for me.
PS3...um, played Resistance and looking forward to Heavenly Sword, that's about it.
Honestly, though, there are multiplatform games that I prefer to buy for my 360 over my PS3.

Well then one should question why indeed did you purchase a PS3 when you would prefer multi platform games on the 360, only really looking forward to one other game on the PS3 and willing to give credit to a game like Hexic but overlook something like Stardust. It's in the cards that the 360 is the right system for you. If you want to enjoy the PS3, you have to be prepared to wait and to take a lot of shit. Thems are the rules.

Heh. I never understand why some people buy an expensive machine, then complain that there is nothing to play on it.
Then why the heck did you spend all that money on the thing?
I could see if it had several games you wanted when you bought it... then nothing came out for it for the following couple years, but at this point, this early in the PS3's lifespan, if there is nothing you want to play on it right now, and you still bought it, then it's your own fault for wasting the money. No once forced you to buy the machine, did they?

Technically, GRAW came out 4 months after release (March) - and took over CoD 2's thunder (online wasn't the best), and Dead Rising didn't come out until August.
So, really the PS3 is about where the 360 was in it's life cycle, just with less exclusives released. That's mostly because there were no competitors for the 360 at the time, so games were exclusive by default. Within 2 months, there should be three or four exclusive PS3 titles out.
Don't get it twisted though, I want all consoles to do well. I don't want to see what a single-company dominated gaming landscape would look like. Competition makes our lives better. :D

I place it on responsibility. I myself forked over $600 simply because of the rumors going around of the EE chip removal. I got into it knowing the current library therefore you won't hear me bitch about lack of games for a long while. I made my choice and I plan to stand by it.

I didn't mean to come across as being too negative towards the PS3. I bought it for it's Blu-Ray capabilities and it's DVD upconversion rate as well as it's potential games. I played and thoroughly enjoyed Resistance and I'm looking forward to Heavenly Sword, but I was hoping for more from the PSN Store to keep me busy.
Games like Stardust, etc...just aren't something I enjoy. I am just not very good at those dual-analog arcade games like Geometry Wars, etc...
My main point of contention with my original post was "Where was the 360 after being out for a year" and my response was that I thought it was further along than the PS3 in the same time frame.
I was just going off of my personal experience. As another poster stated, I want all consoles to perform well because I want the best gaming experience I can get.

I completely respect your thoughts. I know what it's like making the jump from a 360 library to a PS3 library. I don't blame anyone for thinking the PS3 has a small library, I would just hope they knew that prior to purchase. Not that I'm accusing of such action in your part, simply in general.

Warhawk = Must have title for me. :D
You get in-air dogfights, vehicular manslaughter, and a fun third-person shooter all tied into one neat little package!
I just wonder if you'll be able to install the Blu-Ray version to the HDD for faster loading times... That would rock my gaming world. :D
