Since Kefkataran is AWOL and Dr. Finger is tied up in surgery, I guess it falls to me to get the ol' comic ball rolling.

So head on over to the official Comic Day thread (http://www.evilavatar.com/forums//showthread.php?t=33610) (week something or other) and share your picks of the week from all of the fancy nerd pamphlets released this week! (Check Diamond's shipping lists (http://www.diamondcomics.com/shipping/shipping_080107.txt) for the whole shebang).

Picks Of The Week:
AMERICAN VIRGIN #17 - The book I love to hate keeps getting better. The current arc is probably the best of the book so far, somehow pushing boundaries yet never seeming in bad taste.

MS MARVEL #18 - It's got Sleepwalker (last seen in Marvel Team-Up) and Aaron Stack (last seen in Nextwave). Need I say more?

WORLD WAR HULK #3 - What the? Didn't we just have WWH #2 last week? It sure seems like it. It's nice to see a BME (Big Marvel Event) that is on time (for once)...

CHRONICLES OF WORMWOOD #6 - Yes, it's Garth Ennis and yes, he's still pushing the limits but for a book starring the Antichrist, a brain-damaged Jesus and the most foul-mouthed bunny (and pope) to grace the printed page, I'm loving this book. Your mileage may vary.

What? No JSA #8? No Betty & Veronica? That's what happens when you let a Canadian pick your comics!

Question of the Week: Who is your favourite underrated/under appreciated superhero? You know, the one that you hold near and dear to your heart but who nobody aside from that lonely guy at www.iluvdeadpool.com (http://www.deadpool.com) knows about.
