i can't wait for this game, i spoke with a couple of the devs at E3 and they were showing me some of the cool new things you can do, also the fact that there are a lot more urban levels this time around :)

it should be the best in the series!

Same here. Although IO admittedly dropped the ball a bit with Contracts, Agent 47 is such a cool character with so much potential that I am more than willing to see what this new game will bring.

I've watched each of the hitman games improve with each iteration and if H:BM get's some good reviews I may finally have to give in and pick it up.

Also, nice to see some RH fans around sTubbs :)

It sounds like you have not played the previous games. If that is the case, you should definitely go and do so. Hitman 2 is probably the best of the bunch, but that is because like most people who played the original, I am biased against Contracts, as it was essentially a remake of the first game. However, I would recommend Contracts over the original to a new player, as it benefits from the improvements that were made in the second game.

And good on you for recognizing my sig. I tried to pick a quote that was not too obscure, but you are still only the second person to pick up on it. Also, Like Spinning Plates has always been a contender for my favourite Radiohead song.

the best level in the series so far has got to be the hotel mission in the first game.... much better than anything else.

But H2 was gennerally the best game in the series

This reminds me of that list of top 10 games not to buy for your kids that was released in December. Just make sure not to send this game back in time.

I didn't think Contracts had the same draw that the other games had. I loved Hitman 2. I still have not beated any of the games in this series yet.

Hitman 2 was fun. Contracts wasn't. Would like to see a return to glory. Preferably something that's a little more, I don't know... not so video game-y. I don't know how to explain it better without dropping buzzwords like "immersion", but Hitman never lets me forget that it's just a video game. It doesn't feel like being a hitman, it feels like following a certain set of patterns to advance.

Legion hit it. I still feel that the first game is the best in the series so far. That game didn't even try for an 'open-ended' feel, and as such it didn't FAIL in that department. All the other Hitman games have tried to be something great, but they went half-assed and it ended up feeling very forced. I am not in the least bit impressed that Io gave me eight ways to complete the mission. That is not open-ended gameplay.

The only problem with the first game was the fact that you had to do missions essentially the way the dev. team decided was best. There were pretty much only one or two ways to do it. That's why the new ones are better because you can choose how you proceed.

That being said, the first one is still cool.

Wonder if they'll make a Hitman: The Movie game.

Tee hee.
