Rockstar's Wii Table Tennis

According to Maxconsole (http://www.maxconsole.net/?mode=news&newsid=19045), Rockstar Games is preparing to unleash Table Tennis on the Wii, utilizing full Wii remote controls. No word about online play yet.

Rockstar has confirmed that its Table Tennis game will be heading to the Wii this Fall. Sam Houser of Rockstar revealed that fans have been asking them to make a Wii version and claims that the new version complete with Wii Remote system is beautifully designed and impossible to put down.No, that isn't a screen shot from the game, but a frame grab from this excellent video (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-443844193359490622).

I loved the 360 game, but I wonder how you'll put spin and such on the ball. I enjoyed the original not because it felt like ping pong, but because it felt like a weird, very abstract and fast moving videogame. Which means good. Maybe you'll wave the wiimote around as a paddle, and hold the d-stick on the nunchuck to put spin on the ball.

Hmm. Could be amazing. Plus, rumble and sounds. I'm offically excited for that. And I thought multiplayer on the 360 was fun!

Well, if it is like bowling, you could just tilt it inward to the left, or outward to the right... something like that.

I pretty much love tennis games. Top Spin and Table Tennis on 360...and remember Tennis2k2 on Dreamcast? That was fun.

Hopefully it ports well to the Wii!

Was just playing this a couple nights ago with my buddy online with the 360. Had a pretty good time.

If they keep the online in with the Wii version, it's a definite buy, otherwise it might just be regulated to a Gameznflix rental.

Rock, on... This is one of the best games on 360 hands down. Best table tennis game ever. I was really hoping for a Virtua Tennis on Wii, but I will settle for Table Tennis for now.
