Tuesday
Salvo! (PC (http://www.gametab.com/pc/salvo!/4369/))
Halo 2 Multiplayer Map Pack (Xbox (http://www.gametab.com/xbox/halo.2.multiplayer.map.pack/3909/))

Wednesday
Killer 7 (PS2 (http://www.gametab.com/ps2/killer.7/4020/), GameCube (http://www.gametab.com/gcn/killer.7/2499/))
Coded Arms (PSP (http://www.gametab.com/psp/coded.arms/3806/))

I'm curious about Coded Arms, I wonder how it will play on a handheld. Also can't wait to get my hands on the new maps for Halo 2!

It's probably a business decision or Capcom just plain doesn't like the Xbox or MS.

Careful - the foreign releases of Coded Arms updated the firmware on the PSP and broke the hacks necessary to play "homebrew" code

I'm surprised you got the energy to do a weekly release after supposedly breaking the bed yesterday.

:D

I was gonna fill in for you, but you got it covered after all.

i believe it just just requires the 1.5 update, not the 1.51 or 1.52.

at least im hoping!

Coded Arms only updates to 1.5. I've been playing it for a few days, (there have been hacks to run it off the memory stick already (http://www.pspupdates.com/2005/07/coded-arms-iso-loader.html#comments)) and it's a pretty fun game. It uses the face buttons on the right side of the psp as you would an analog stick. The layout is a bit weird the first time you use it, but it's not bad once you've played with it for a while. I have every intention of picking it up however, since I'm not sure what havoc I'm causing by running it off the MS.

ReaverX, since you've been playing it, is the control scheme as customizable as they say? Can you map any button to any function or is it more of a "here's four schemes, pick one" type thing?

Oh, and call me lazy for not researching, but are the last 4 Halo 2 maps going live and free tonight or is the map pack required?

I just turned it on to check. They have three pre-set schemes to select from and there's also a key config menu that allows you to change everything but what the analog stick does (movement). Every other button is completely customizable.

Kewl, thanks for the info. That info goes a long way to my making the final purchase.

Killer 7 is the last of 4 games (1 never came out) that were contracted by Nintendo from Capcom. They're meant to be Gamecube exclusive is all. At least for now, it'll probably be ported down the road just like Viewtiful Joe and Resident Evil 4 were.

Also, for anyone who's following the PC release of Advent Rising (in the hopes that the performance issues will be addressed, and tha 'flick' control scheme removed) it's been pushed back to July 26th according to EB Games. It's possible that this delay is due to those very fixes for those issues that everyone complained about with the Xbox version. Here's hoping!

I hope they fix the Advent Rising Elevator, as the game cannot be finished as it is. Stupid elevator that does not work.

I'm glad Killer 7 isn't for the Xbox. It's supposed to be utter shite :D

Resident Evil 5 however would've been cool.

Looking forward to the maps. I've got the dvd ordered.Just in case i may lose the download just in case my xbox dies :p

Nintendo paid out the ass for exclusivity for their Killer Apps of 2005. I think its biting them right in their pixelated plumbers ass.

Microsoft isn't to phased I think though. Can anyone say map pack?

I heard that Coded Arms was mediocre on its best day. Does anyone think that justifies playing it for free off your memory stick?
