Also available streaming via Odeo (http://odeo.com/channel/486043/view).

i personally can't wait for fable 2. i went into the original without knowing about the hype, so i was totally blown away. i'd say it was one of the top 5 games on the original xbox.

Yeah, the original was awesome.

I heard all the hype, but didn't get caught up in it. Once the game finally came out, I enjoyed it for what it was, not what it could have been, and had a great time.
My only problem was that it was so short (this was before the Lost Chapters came out). I bear the whole game in less than 6 hours, and I was taking my time (or so I thought).

Great game though. I don't think Fable 2 will be the reason I buy a 360, but it'll be one of the games I get when I do.
... well, assuming it doesn't come to PC first. I should have a 360 by the time it's released though.

I wish I had done the same. After getting so excited about it, I was extremely disappointed in the experience it delivered. When I realized it was actually a decent game, I had a good time beating it. There's lots of room for improvement, but I think he knows that, and it will turn out great.

I played the PC version and totally missed the xbox hype. I enjoyed it immensly. Can't wait for 2. I loved the music and designs of the first one, hope the music will be just as good.

I'm with Menage. I picked F:TLC up for the PC for $30 (CDN) on a whim, and was really impressed.

I'm gonna wait for the sure to be announced PC version of Fable 2. I waited out the Xbox version last time, played the PC version with Lost Chapters and had a great time with it.

I bet everyone on his team has an impersonation of him they use when he's not around.

molyneux is awesome, "I know this looks like shit, I'm sorry". That looks better than half the game out already.

That's what I said. I told him for something that is a year away, its way ahead of the curve.

Honestly he was my favorite dev I met. Of course, I'm a longtime fan. Syndicate, Magic Carpet and Dungeon Keeper are some of my favorite games ever.

I know a guy who works at Lionhead, and he went to a party at Peters the first week he worked there. Let's just say, there was a lot of absynthe there :P

I know it's all but dead and buried (touted first back in Xbox1 days I believe) - but is it worth mentioning that I'd really love a console version of Black & White in some form?

Still - I'll be first in line to slap a preorder down and secure my LE Fable2 actionfigure/elfin ears on release day. I really liked the first one (still haven't bought TLC yet - I bought Fable 1 on launch)

I'll wait out for the PC version too, I loved the music and I hope that they re-imagine the main theme instead of dumping it.

And you didn't ask him about it? I'm willing to pay, or do anything to get him to make a third one!!!!

He doesn't own the rights to any of those franchises anymore. EA does unfortunately. If you listened to the other interview I posted with him, we talk about Syndicate and that.

He said the only franchise he's tried to reaquire is Populous.

You shut up. Black and White was a really, really, REALLY bad game.

While both B&W 1 and 2 had their share of flaws - as a Populous/SimCity player back in 1990 - I did garner great enjoyment from both titles.

I won't argue they were GREAT games - but I would argue against that they were REALLY BAD games.

Each to his own I suppose.

EDIT - Sorta like Overlord. I really like it - but the bugs, and some finicky controls hold it back from being a truly GREAT game - thoough it's a current fave for me. I'd argue against it being REALLY BAD though.

Loved the PC version, although it was short. IT just needed more depth and content... I think Fable 2 will be great.

I think Black and White would be a PERFECT game for the Wii, I mean shit... your avatar in the game is a floating hand. Just tighten some things up and give the game more... fun, and it would be perfect.

I think Fable 2 has the potential to be good. They have ambitious ideas for this one, but they are not as crazily ambitious as last time around, Fable 2 seems to be more about trying new things in presentation and trying to create a connection, and not trying to creat a world where quests and conversations happen based on a rule system that is extremely limited.

SO then EA owns the rights to Populous and Syndicate? bah I tried to get EA to talk to me about the rights but they just shut me down.

Not interested. The original was one of the biggest letdowns for me last gen. I broke down and preordered after listening to coworkers' hype for weeks. It wasn't a bad game, just disappointingly mediocre - no aspect of the game was as good as I expected. I kind of had to force myself to finish, so thankfully it was short. It's one of the few games I've ever sold back to EB. Okay, end of rant about Fable 1. I hope the sequel turns out better but it's not at all on my radar. I do like Molyneaux's games in general though, he's got a heck of a track record regardless of Fable.

So what does he say about online play at the end?

What I'm the most worried about (and sort of expect) is that every 'cool' thing in Fable 2 will have been completely discussed and dissected before the game comes out — and when it's all put together, the value will be less than the sum of its parts.

I wished he had included some sorta arena style multiplayer towards the end on the 1st game. That was probably the biggest fun to me and it would of been cool to do some hero vs hero at the arena.

I bought Fable originally to play when it came out but my fiancee having read about it in my game mags, decided to play and then proceeded to play through it, revealing to much of the plot for me to bother ever playing it. She now is a huge Fable fangirl to the point of tracking down any Fable info. She practically hijacked my computer when i'm on here reading stuff about Fable 2. She would stalk Peter Molyneux if she wasn't worried about missing school :). She says thanks for the new Fable info btw...

Tell her to read about his apology and how talking too much is why he is a bit more tame. Sure he still talks alot but it isn't about EVERYTHING. Look at how he says the game isn't graphically great, while it's actually impressive. Tell her to walk away until the game comes out. Me, I only half followed the hype and I still loved Fable. But best RPG, or even trying to do that with Fable 2 won't happen. Have to put those in Action RPGs genre and now we're cooking. I like some Molyneux but too much can lead to bad things.
