View Full Version : Massive Zelda: Twilight Princess hands on preview
Pro-G (http://ww.pro-g.co.uk) has some in-depth hands on impressions of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (http://www.pro-g.co.uk/previews/pid/156/89/). In a mammoth article they cover the entirety of the multi-level demo that was on show at a recent press event in London, England.
Twilight Princess is shaping up to meet the hype, and then possibly go beyond. The visual flair makes the game seem at times very Lord of The Rings (the films, not the games) and that Tolkien-Jackson influence is very apparent in the title's scale, scenes and cinematic ambition. Gameplay is typical Zelda fare, which is no bad thing, especially when the game looks this good and runs so smoothly. Control is as tight as a Kokiri's tunic, and sound, from the little we heard at a busy press event, never less than fittingly epic.

i'm such a sucker for LoZ, the only games that could give it a challenge in my mind for the #1 spot would be Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VI.
Also, I totally love the sound effect when you find something important in a chest, and Link holds it up, levitating above his hand and rotating slightly.
"Doo Doo Doo Dooooooooooo!"
I feel like an idiot for trying to type out a sound effect now.

This preview article in particular is nothing but hog-wash. They post it up with praise etc. to get hits on their website. Pathetic.

Well, of course they praised it. It's a fucking Zelda game. Do you think they praised it because, I don't know, its really fucking good? Like the rest of the Zelda games?

The first split second I read the headline I almost jumped out of my seat. Of course as soon as I finished the rest of the headline I simmered back down, but how cool would this be...MMO set in the Zelda universe. Chance of that happening in the next 10 years? probably close to 0%.

As long as Nintendo releases Zelda games, I will be buying their consoles. Simple as that.

True that.
I wish more developers would learn from Nintendo's attention to detail.

yes indeed. I feel like nintendo should just have direct access to my account and whenever hardware or firstparty games are released deduct the sum and send me the stuff. Oh well.

Look for the Korean MMO called Wiki. Looks like a Wind Waker rip off.
