And good lord, he is giving some very useful and to-the-point information! Fansite Halflife2.net (http://www.halflife2.net/) has posted an interview with Valve's PR chief Doug Lombardi covering nearly everything the company have done in the past eight months:

Half-Life 2's launch
HL2 Deathmatch's inception and its mapping contest
HL2: Aftermath, directly confirming at last that you are actually Gordon
The dislike of Steam's implementation in retail HL2
Specs on The Lost Coast (now down to 2GHz) and the HDR itself
Day of Defeat: Source, complete with a screenshot showing HDR in the game
Days before the deadline for [HL2:DM contest] submissions we had received less than a handful of entries and we were really starting to panic. Then, the day before the deadline, the postman walked in with a gigantic tub of CDs. The following day he delivered another -- much to our surprise and relief. We spent the following days and weeks playing a seemingly endless amount of great creations.http://www.btinternet.com/~varsity_uk/evilavatar/flash_hdr_thumb.jpg (http://www.btinternet.com/~varsity_uk/evilavatar/flash_hdr.jpg)

Well, that screenshot certainly looks better than the previous crap we saw. Here's hoping DOD:S actually turns out to be a winner.

Remember folks: graphics over gameplay!

Graphics over gameplay, gameplay over graphics.

Who cares, Valve delivered both.

Best FPS ever.

I saw the HDR comparison video. Is it just me? I really didn't see a difference in quality.

Who cares? I'll be getting this anyway.

Yeah he really raked 'em over the coals on how much of a CF Steam was...

Great. Looks like it's coming up to time for a new video card again. What should I be looking at for this? Anyone?
