Rise of the Argonauts Announced, Screens

Codemasters has announced a new action/adventure title based on the Jason and the Argonauts mythos. The game is called Rise of the Argonauts and will be available for PC, 360 and PS3 in 2008.

Gamers will leave their mark on ancient Greece as they engage in heart-pumping, lethal, blood-spurting combat against hordes of enemy warriors, ruthless beasts and truly formidable mythological creatures. Whether Jason is lopping off heads or cutting warriors in half with his sword or if Hercules is wrestling with giant beasts, the intense action in Rise of the Argonauts™ will leave players wanting for their next confrontation.

It sounds God of War-ish.

Sounds kinda interesting, and after taking a class on mythology I have a greater intrest in this sort of thing.

That game looks really sweet. I read a few previews last night from a few sites and it sounds like a really good game. God of War + RPG elements? {Yes please.}

God I remember that game. It was freaking awesome despite what some said about it. I need to get it loaded up and play it again sometime soon.

According to the game informer I got, it's more of an adventure RPG, with multiple party members. Not too much like God of War apart from the setting/mythology.

Game Informer had a huge preview in last month's issue. The game sounds like it could be awesome.

I saw this in Game Informer. I think the art direction looks weird at first but this is in my "interested" stack.

Unfortunately - last time I tried to run it there were too many graphical glitches, possibly driver problems. I will have to try it on my new XP machine.

Those are some nice looking screens. I love the colors and art style.
