Just saw at BluesNews (http://www.bluesnews.com/) that Battle for Middle Earth 2 was under development (http://bluesnews.com/cgi-bin/board.pl?action=viewthread&threadid=58120) at EALA. Below is some more information about it:This means that the LotR: The Battle for Middle-Earth 2 is being made though it wasn't at the E3. The game will release in 2006 and will contain a new storyline which seems logic because Sauron has been defeated. That's why we're afraid to fall into a forced repetition (of the story line). This is a bit funny though since the first game ended the real story from the movies. And since EA only has rights to the movies it makes you wonder how the story will work this time. Another question is what the hell happend to the new Red Alert? That game was announced several months ago, but we have heard nothing about it since then. Has it been canned or is EALA developing two games now?

Prolly developing 2 games since they have enough people to do it.

I just discovered that those bastards at EA secretly already launched Red Alert 2!

But I'm actually more excited about that Star Wars RTS from ex-westwood employees than Red Alert 3. I don't think it will ever be the same.....

I think there's a policy over at EA that states that the executives must cancel a set number of projects each quarter to meet their quota.

Truth.

The first one sucked, this one should suck even more.
