Gamegossip (http://www.gamegossip.com/) has posted (http://gamegossip.com/comment.php?id=13877) new screenshots of Call Of Duty 2 for your viewing pleasure. The title is slated for a Fall 2005 release for PCs.

Not too shabby looking.

Looks great, I'm worried they will script it to death like the first one. Crossing my fingers.

I'm sure it's all scripted heavily but I still like it. A very movie-like experience.
The smoke effects in the videos looks absolutely amazing! Good smoke = a much more realistic explosion. I want to see smoke and rubble all over the screen!

How many times is a WWII FPS going to allow us to do the D-day <insert name of beach here> invasion. There were other things going on in 1944. Heck there were other theaters other than the European theater. What about the Russian front? Or the Italian/North African fronts (allied side, of course).

Perhaps the next WWII shooter could do a storyline that doesn't take place in 1944. What about a stealth action (ala Splinter Cell) title that takes place before the war turned in favor of the Allied forces?

I agree the pictures are nice though.

I also think the great patriotic war would make a great game. Red Orchestra did it very well...as a MP game...but it would transfer nicely to SP. And now that I think about it, I believe the RO team is making a SP portion with their unreal winnings.

And I'm always up for an alternate history setting in a game. Probably the least used setting in games.
