Wow, what a letdown.
Every Evil Dead game I have played has been complete thrash.
They are exploiting people caring for these classic movies.. and Bruce Cambell has joined the milking every time. Apparently the fans like Ash so much, that they still buy this crap. And that really says alot about the potential of the franchise they are wasting. I wish Bruce had the same eye for making good games with his character the way Vin Diesel does.

What really pisses me off as a gamer, is the fact the talked about Duke Nukem being a "bad game" and then promoting these crap games.

Why make this below average 3rd person console crap?

Come now, Boomstick wasn't that bad. It let me run around as Ash and butcher tons of deadites. That's good enough for me. :)

This screenshot is more ugly than Quake1. Look at the textures for christ sake. This is the age of Doom3/HL2 graphics and this just doesn't cut it for me.

I would give this game a chance, if some of the earlier Evil Dead games were any fun - sadly they weren't. I bet this PC version is a quick console port with stupid controls and lousy graphics.
I hope the reviews prove me wrong.

It will probably launch at a budget price like Fist Full of Boomstick. That game was pretty fun, and the voicework was excellent. Not the best 20 bucks I ever spent, but good enough.

Why would I put the effort into playing it if they won't put the effort into making it look halfway decent? Imagine a pizza parlor that had poop all over the walls. I wouldn't need to eat the 'za to know that it wasn't a quality establishment.
