I found this over at biz.gamedaily.com (http://biz.gamedaily.com/) and thought it was pretty interesting. Arguments can be made over a lot of the picks, and I like the inclusion of Kurtz, Holkins, and Seanbaby.
If I knew about this ahead of time I would have nominated Cmdr Zorg from UK: Resistance.
Thoughts, anyone?

Kieron Gilleon of Eurogamer fame.

You like the inclusion of Seanbaby? Do you need some smelling salt or something?

I think Seanbaby is a tool. Always have.
Anyone else notice how out-of-place Seanbaby looks and acts whenever he's on TV?

tim rogers and everyone else related to Gamer's Quarter / insertcredit.
Cheers for PA. I have a lot of respect for those guys, with or without the comics.
Only other guys on that list I recognize is Mahood and Osborn from my earlier PC Gamer days.

Cheers for Tycho - he has really done some great comics this year, Will Wright's Pee for instance.
Jeers for Seanbaby - he is the kind of writer that the industry thinks is funny, but us readers can't stand his babble. His article is the last thing I read in EGM.
Left off the list - the guys at Ctrl Alt Dlt got skills, and I think Frankie from Bungie has a talent for wit. Also, that guy that wrote the Little Timmy Smith stories that have been posted on Bungie recently deserves a friggin' medal.

Seanbaby is, as stated, a tool. King D above said it perfectly: suits think he's funny, everyone else thinks he's an idiot. Maybe it's the hair that got him the job.

Seanbaby's article is the last thing I read in EGM also...because its at the end of the magazine...
Anyway, I know its the "popular" thing to hate on game reviewers and the like, but I find his writing to be very funny and well thought out. There's other humor out there besides self-deprecating ya know.

STUPID QUESTION ALERT!
Is the Seanbaby mentioned in this article the same one who writes (wrote) www.seanbaby.com? (I don't read the magazine.) If so, I agree. Most of the material on the website is wet-your-pants funny.

seanbaby is trying to hold on to what little fame he has just like he's trying to hold on to that receeding hairline.

Seanbaby - even his name pisses me off. And I'm not about to comment on how piss-poor his writing is.

I have a feeling this is going to be flame bait but I don't hold in very high regard anybody that writes for EGM. I've gotten that magazine for free with subscriptions to Gamefly and stuff like that and it's never managed to impress me. I think the fact that you have to sift through the mountains of ads as if it were an archeological dig to find the actual content hidden somewhere between the pages has a lot to do with it.

Have you read GamePro lately? I don't think there are any articles in that magazine. I give up on page 40.

I think I picked up a gamepro once, yeah those are even more of a book full of ads than EGM, which is quite an accomplishment. My favorite games mag has always been PC Gamer but ever since sites like Gamespot and the now deceased Daily Radar popped up I just don't see much point in subscribing to a magazine.

Kieron Gillen of Eurogamer is the best writer in videogame journalism by a long way. Also a fan of Ste Curran, who wrote for Edge and Mr. Biffo, also of Edge. Best I've seen on the net would be the guys behind oldmanmurray.com and quartertothree.com

As far as pure writing, I'd go with Tycho. For quality game journalism, probably Gillen.

EGM is nothing but a message board. It's in a sad, sad state.
