Sins of the Solar Empire Screens [PC]

Stardock has just released 4 new screenshots for their Sins of the Solar Empire title. A second Beta is about to get underway for anyone who preordered (http://totalgaming.stardock.com/games/?id=SINS) the RTS title via TotalGaming.com.

Beta 2 launches on June 21 for anyone who has pre-ordered Sins of a Solar Empire via TotalGaming.net, and includes a ton of new features that will be included in the final game, as well as tweaks and fixes based on feedback from beta testers.

Any one here pre-order it and do the previous beta? This game really looks awesome, but I wonder if it is worth jumping in early for the beta or if I should wait for reviews...

Oh.. I don't really make a distinction sometimes, SoSE is RTS 4x? Civ IV is turned based.

Correct. SoSE is a full 4x RTS game. If you can, look up some demo videos. It is absolutely amazing.

I've wondered if you can consider Dawn of War 4x or just RTS. A tough call, I think. Certainly you already know the map, but you must explore it to locate the enemy and their expansions, expand to gather resources, exploit you mineral wealth while trying to inhibit others and exterminate opposing forces: sometimes by exploiting the limits of their unit types (ie. morale, vehicle/solider combinations, etc).
