Stop whatever you are doing. Get ready to make plans this Friday to hit up your local theater. Why? Dead or Alive comes out. You know you want to see it. Admit it. It's ok.

The Wii gets Big Brain Academy this week, another DS->Wii translation of a franchise. The Wii seems to be bucking the trend in that department as most sequels, franchises seem to go from the console to mobile platform...not the other way around.

Also this week, Monster Madness: The Battle for Suburbia on XBox 360 should prove to be a great party style shoot-em up. Another gem on the 360 this week is the Prince of Persia remake of the original classic.

Not a single thing I'm interested in this week, my wallet is thankful. I am curious though to see R6 Vegas on the PSP. They haven't released a single video to show the game in motion, that's not a good sign.

I shouldn't care less about Silver Surfer (the movie), FF4 sucked hard... but somehow, I still have to hope it might be a good popcorn flick.

DOA is only just coming out over there? It came and went a long time ago over here.

No new games for me. I'll probably pick up Prince of Persia sometime after I get my 360 back, but not straight away.

I'll probably go see F4:Silver Surfer. I havn't seen the first one, but films are effectively free for me, so what's the worst that could happen?

If it's anything like the first one you may have to gnaw off your own arm to dull the pain.

Mwah. PoP maybe if it's really good, and Naruto 2 I would like to play just for the heck of it being Naruto. But no sales for me I guess.

Ah, doesn't matter. I just finished Lost Planet this weekend after 4 months (great bosses in the end, whoop), time to complete more games.

The plot summary of Dead Or Alive on IMDB has convinced me that I would rather watch strawberry shortcake.

[DOA] Plot Keywords: Action Heroine / Upskirt / Kickboxing / Violence / Teen Comedy Between that and the 4.8/10 rating, how can you lose?

And yes, it was released in several countries last September. I'm sure the delay was used to add further polish and bump that score up to a 4.9 at least. :)

Anyone seen a review for the F4 game on 360? I've been hankering for some mindless button masher superhero co-op with my kids since we beat Ultimate Alliance for the 2nd time.

Ummm Primevil Comes out the same day as Ghost Rider on DVD and Blu-Ray. Its based on the legendary Crocodile Gustave which still lives and kills people everyday. that movie was awesome. Think of it as Lake Placid without the Humor and more gore.

Did they announce how much Prince of Persia Classic will be? I assume it will be the regular 800 points but you never know.

Edit: Never mind, I should have read the post dedicated to PoP:C...

you also forgot about "breach". it's a great movie. the only realistic spy movie perhaps ever made. i encourage anybody to see it, as long as their not ADD, because there's almost no phisical action, but the whole movie is just constant tention that really makes you root for the main character. if you like psycology, mind games, emotional tention, see it, but dont expect a james bond movie, again...NO action, just super high tention.

Obviously Fantastic Four, as it's the only new PS3 release this week apparently (and will surely be a great game). :p

But if you were talking about any game in the PS3 library to date, I have no idea.

According to my local shop, Raw Danger isn't out until the 20th.

For those who don't know, Raw Danger is the sequel to Disaster Report, a game near and dear to my heart. This time you're dealing with a flood and hypothermia instead of an earthquake.

And it's super cheap, so that's always nice :)

It'd be cool if it came out this week, but I expect it to be out next week.

As for the movies, I am curious about Fantastic Four. I love Galactus and think that the Silver Surfer looks awesome in the new movie. I also didn't hate the first movie half as much as I expected to. Now, if only they could pitch Jessica Alba out a window and get someone who would fit the character of Sue Storm a bit more and I could be pleasantly amused by this movie.

Will I see it in the theatre? Maybe, but only because I have the house to myself and can actually make it out to the theatre to see things. I might wait and take my kid to see it and try to see Spidey 3 instead.

Dear Nintendo,

As a faithful loyalist, I am most displeased that Phantom Hourglass was pushed back to Fall 2007. http://mazeguy.net/sad/sigh.gif

I might check out Scarface (Wii) though. IGN's given a good impression on the how the game controls with the wii-mote.

You sir, need to stop. This flagrant abuse of Jessica Alba is uncalled for. What has she ever done to you? Nothing. Nothing that is except look perfect in every role she has ever played. Sin City? How can you bad mouth Dark Angel? She is the perfection of perfect. Well, maybe Jessica Biel is that, but you get my point - she's up there.

This is just wrong I tell you. Wrrrrooooonnnnng.

Please say you are sorry, super nice like.

Oh, I don't mind Jessica Alba in Sin City or Dark Angel. It's just that she was NOT Sue Storm, esp. given how well they did at matching up whoever the other actors are with their characters. While the movie itself was far from perfect, I thought that the casting of everyone except Doom and Sue was spot on.

Jessica Biel... now that would be a much nicer Sue Storm...

Jessica Biel... now that would be a much nicer Sue Storm...I'm seriously considering going to see 'I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry' simply to see Jessica Biel in her underwear. Mind you, I despise Adam Sandler and Rob Schneider.

Aye. What I've seen of Monster Madness looks like something that would be a great Live Arcade title a la Roboblitz... however, when I found out that it was a full retail title, my interest plummeted like Fitbabits chasing a kitten off a bridge.

Ha! I actually bought Ghost Rider, and you know what? Its not that bad. It was about par for the course as far as comic movies are concerned.

The production value was there, I was on board with the plot (a conglomoration of two or three story arcs) and they kept to the origin surprisingly well (cuting out the muckety muck of the foster father), but the writing was horrible, and the directing was only okay. I just hope the first one made enough to ensure a sequel with a different writer/director.

Disclaimer: I love Ghost Rider, so my views may be scewed.

Was it any good? I've been wanting to play a good western game since Gun came out years ago...

The first Ultimate Ninja game was actually a pretty decent Super Smash Bros. clone. I hear the second one uses Shippuden characters. If that is the case, I may rent it.

Other than that, very lame week (which suits me fine...I'm low on cash). PoP is good though.

If they'd done a better job with the villains and had a better script, it could have been an awesome movie. Sadly, it lacked much in the realm of tension. That said, I loved the way they did Ghost Rider and his bike and didn't really mind Nicolas Cage, though I'm also one of the few people who don't seem to hate him.

Definately worth a rent or a cheap buy.
