Total Overdose is a steal at 4.90. It is a light Grand Theft auto game with amazingly fun shooting. Even with my xbox 360 I am always asked to put that one in the xbox to play.

If you like adventure games with a good story and compelling characters, you should definitely try Dreamfall. The combat element was poorly implemented, but everything else was great.
I never did play Dawn of War, so I'll have to grab that.

I loved Hitman: Blood Money. The sheer amount of different ways to complete a mission drove me insane (in a good way...I like having choices but I tend to spend too much time trying to find the "right" way to do things). Not sure if you can play the original XBOX version on the 360 or not (probably not, since theres a 360 version too).

Some of the Smackdown games for the PS2 were really fun! I really don't know any wrestlers anymore so I don't know how much fun I'd have a wrestling game nowadays.

Reading a description on Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, I am sold. An 83% on GameRankings doesn't hurt either!

M:UA is basically X-Men Legends 3, at least spiritually, right? I've always wanted to play the Legends games, but haven't.

Yeah, it plays pretty much the same way, there's just a more diverse cast of characters to chose from in MUA. I had a lot of fun with it, I'd recommend it for sure.

Flinxz, but then I doubt I'll get the 48 Madness price for it. Please edit this article and take Ultimate Alliance out of it so no more people are disappointed.

The 48 hour madness sales often last much longer than 48 hours.

There is a demo for Dreamfall if you aren't sure. I played the demo and it sold me on the game, though shortly later it vanished from stores and I forgot about it. I'll be picking it up from GoGamer finally now.

For those contemplating Dreamfall, buyer beware - it has Starforce 'protection' (http://www.glop.org/starforce/list.php).

Isn't there a new Dawn of War compilation coming out fairly soon with the Dark Crusade expansion included?
Although, at this price, I guess it doesn't really matter...

They seem to update it almost hourly... check back occasionally over the next few days. That's what I did to get Dark Messiah of Might and Magic a while back. "48 Hour" is a minimum, as krin noted above.

Dark Crusade is worth its own price, whatever that is nowadays. The single-player lets you play as all 7 races, though it's not dynamic enough, IMO, to warrant playing through 7 times. It's nothing like StarCraft/BroodWar/other Blizz RTSes where each race gets a separate objective-based campaign. Each race has its own story, but the maps you fight on are the same; the campaign is basically a series of skirmish missions. Great fun once, maybe even two or three times. You only need Dawn of War and/or Winter Assault if you want to play MP as anything other than Necrons or Tau. And, really, the Tau are so cool (mini T-Rex super-unit!) I don't know why you'd want to play anyone other than them anyhow. =P

I'm tempted to get the Quake pack, if I had extra money, I would. I've been itching to play Quake 1 and 2 lately. Wonder if people still play multiplayer for either these days?

Dreamfall was *way* too short, and really plays like 1/3 of a game. "The Longest Journey" reminds me of The Matrix in many ways. #1 is excellent, and stands on its own, but #2 is clearly little more than a transitionary story to #3.
It was fun, and pretty, and the worlds they've designed are brilliant, but I found Dreamfall to be a bit of a let down. Worth it at that price.
Oh, and Fitbabits is wrong, the North American version of Dreamfall doesn't have Starforce, only the Euro and Australian versions. See this wiki article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dreamfall
And now, it's time for my obligatory bitch that GG doesn't ship to .ca: Bitch, bitch, McBitchy Bitchbitch. Damnit, ship to .ca already!
Edit: Woo, 5 points to me for getting his name right the first time!

if hitman deal was for the pc version I would be all over that!
Notice that half of these games sell on Steam currently for 300% more. :(

It's already out, actually; GoGamer has it. I passed it up, partly because I don't have a working DVD-ROM drive...and mostly because $10 is far too good of a deal to pass up. Huzzah for a new(for me!) RTS!

Dreamfall is totally worth it, if just for atmosphere. God I loved that game. Not as much as Indigo Prophecy but damn close.

I picked up the DoW Gold Edition not too long ago and its rediculously good. I kinda wish i hadnt of skipped it over back when it was released, but picked the both up for 10 bucks is about as good of a deal as you can get. Dark Crusade is also a blast, I cant get enough of overwhelming everyone as the Necrons.
On that note, I think Ill pick up Ultimate Alliance. Nothing like a good Gauntlet-esque game, but comic themed is just icing on the cake.

Never played The first longest journey but I really liked dreamfall. It pretty much stands on it's own but I didn't get the fun of knowing how characters evolved from the first game. The only bad note is the ending. Without giving away too much let me say that when I beat the game the ending was so flat and inconclusive that I was sure I had done something wrong and gotten the incomplete ending. Turns out there's only one ending...

I used to care as much as you do. I hate the trash as much as the next guy, but as an adventure gamer I pretty well have to deal with it for now. I just play thru the game and remove it when I'm done. Sucks, but too many good adventures have the program. The number is getting smaller and smaller though.

Once a-freaking-gain:
The North American version of Dreamfall DOES NOT have Starforce.
It's got it's own unique and annoying CP, but not SF.

BTW, sometimes GoGamer ships you the European version of the games for their 48 hour madness without explicitly telling you. Most of the times it's no biggie but sometimes it matters (as in the case of Starfarce).

Anyone have any info on the rumored Longest Journey & DreamFall combo pack? I would much prefer to buy both.
Was able to find the info on the Dreamfall Wiki:
On April 30, 2007, Aspyr announced that a Game of the Year edition would be released to North America on May 24, 2007 and will include The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, and the Dreamfall OST.[13]
I was actually able to find it as well on GoGamer (http://www.gogamer.com/Dreamfall--The-Longest-Journey-2-Game-of-the-Year-Edition-Front-Page_stcVVproductId18355099VVcatId444710VVviewprod .htm). It is only $28 dollars.
