Another week, a NEW weekly release. After basically linking to EB Games since the Weekly Release's beginning, I decided it's time to stop giving them free linkage and link to something USEFUL for you guys. From now on, we'll be linking to Gametab's game compilation section. You can see reviews, screen shots, prices, etc from all the games linked. It's a pretty nice and well rounded spot to get info on things.

On the game front, there's not much this week, PSP Gamers finally get some new games, DS owners get a great looking title in Meteos, The Fantastic 4 game hits multiple platforms, and the longest most repetitive game title ever comes out: Mobile Suit Gundam: Gundam vs. Zeta Gundam .

I know you're going to hate not linking to EB anymore, especially since you had such great experiences with them in the past.... :p

Ren and Stimpy!?! Wow, I loved that show. Shallow, meaningless fun at its finest. I may have to check that out.

I kind of dig the Gamertab linkage - my vote (not that we're actually voting here, or anything) is to stick with it.

I am curious to see how the reviews pan out for Riviera on the GBA. I have my fingers crossed that it will be good as I have been wanting a new RPG for the GBA. What a lame name for a game though.

I wonder if Advent Rising will actually be released this Friday? If so I wonder if it will have the various patches and what not improved from the xbox version.

It would take A LOT of patches to fix that game. I was so dissapointed, especially after buying into all the buzz surrounding it.

If I had a DS I'd be excited for Meteos, I decided on the PSP, though, and now I'm still stuck with nothing but Lumines and Hot Shots Golf. Still great games but I'd like something new. Maybe Dead To Rights will be okay.

I still need to pick up that Season 1/2 boxed set of Red & Stimpy... It's pretty cheap for what you get.

I loved Advent rising until it broke my xbox.

I am debating whether or not I should buy it for the PC. I just want to know if I can run it =( I played about 45 minutes of it, and loved every single minute.

Has anyone heard anything about Midnight Club for the PSP? No reviews out there yet. I'm hoping it's good cause I need something new on there. I need a good RPG on there as well. Something Final Fantasy III-ish. Or a Bioware port of KOTOR or Jade Empire would work.

I'm going to pick up Midnight Club:DUB for the PSP. Loved the full blown console version, so this should be a load of fun.

Gamespot has a press release (http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/06/24/news_6128151.html) stating Chaos Theory DS has shipped and will be available 6/28.

That's what I'm wondering as well. I can imagine after the feedback they've received, a patch is in the works (or, here's hoping, the performance issues simply don't exist on the PC and the "flick-targetting" was never implemented for the mouse-keyboard). I'm eagerly awaiting this.

I've been keeping my eye on Advent Rising... so it's good then?

Also, wasn't EB bought up by Gamestop?

Nah, the other way around. EB bought GS. They're supposed to be changing the name sometime soon. My money is on them somehow incorporating the words "Strategy guide" and "preorder" in the new name for the store to save the associates from having to do the song and dance at the register....

KarmaGhost was correct: Gamestop bought EB. They still haven't worked out the details and nothing significant has changed yet.

From what I heard the EB's will be changing over to Gamestop's come end of the year, and there will be some store closings/mergers to fix any overlap. In the words of my ex-EB manager, "things around here are going to shit faster than they were going to shit before"

Actually they announced most of the details when they announced the deal was finalized. What I'm wondering though is that around here, metro Detroit, is how many stores are going to close. There are alot of spots where there are at least 3 or 4 EB and Gamestops in less then a quarter mile. There are even places where you can stand outside one stores door and see two others.

Meteos though looks like the DS's first must have, not to mention one of it's first games and first decent games, so I'm really leaning towards picking up a DS with this free SM64 deal.

Hell yes. This one shouldn't go unnoticed, you hear me?

No, Gamespot bought EB. I heard they'll be doing the re-branding towards the holiday season this year.
