Alone in the Dark Confirmed for 2007

And in the land of the surreal I dreamed about Alone in the Dark last night. Just seeing this post reminded me. Why in Hell would I dream about that... bad enough a game but one that isn't even really on my radar?

Last I had heard of this game, it was slated for release "fiscal year 2007". Which to me technically meant it could be March, 2008. As much as I'm interested in this game, I probably wouldn't mind it coming out in March of next year, with the beating my wallet's gonna take this year. Wallet am cry...

Has there been any info or screens of the new AitD? I'm quite a fan of the original trilogy, but the 4th really sucked. I mean, 2-barreled revolver and 3-barreled shotgun, come on!

EDGE had a feature on this about a year back. It looked/sounded pretty awesome but it might get lost in the Christmas rush.

I'm sold...if it's got the essence of the original Alone in the Dark in it.
That game practically sold me on PC gaming years ago. Even if I did mostly die....constantly...stupid pirate.
I still remember trying to open the front door....bad idea.

Other than that, this game comes up occasionally when i have to remind younger gamers that Resident Evil DIDN'T pioneer survival horror.
