Pro-G (http://www.pro-g.co.uk/previews/pid/793/86/) had some hands-on time with the game, and left wanting to play a lot more. Phantagram’s sequel to Kingdom Under Fire: Crusaders is looking very good indeed.

Having had a quick play, Kingdom Under Fire: Heroes is shaping up to be a very worthy follow-up to the impressive earlier outing. The combat is a little more varied, the new units add more to your army-building options, and the new missions and multiple stories will provide plenty of game to get your teeth into. Let's hope that the game gets a little more marketing this time around.

Excellent stuff.

It seems they remedied a lot of the (really only niggling) problems from the previous game, but I would like to see them put a save feature when your armies are in the field . I don't have the time these days to sit and fight through 3/4 of a battle only to lose at the last crunch and waste another hour and a half. Also the fact that after each mission you really needed to power up just the right kind of troops prior to the next battle to really stand a chance at winning.

I never found the difficulty in finding enemy generals that much of a setback though, in the heat of battle it can be hard to pick out just one enemy but most of the time when you found them you could smack them down quite easily.

Sweet, definitley need to get it.

On a side note: Did anyone proofread that article? Yikes.

How about the voice acting? The first game had horretroucious (yes I made that up) voice acting.

Very sorry about that. The none-final version was uploaded by mistake. Should be nicely error free now. I hope.

As much as I tried to play Crusaders, I just could not get into it. It got very complex. For me, I wanted to play the game, not have to mentally figure stats and upgrades all day. For that I mean I lost track of who was doing what on the field. A good battle commander I would not make.

I'll be giving this one a try.

Well you can always put the Korean voice acting back on. That's what I did and was perfectly satisfied...except when trying to read while fighting off four troops of Knights.

I actually just recently picked up Crusaders. After hearing Gamespot give the sequel so much coverage and their good review of the first, I figured it'd be a good 17 dollar investment. For the most part I was right, but damn if it doesn't get really hard on the Luci campaign. I'm still stuck on the mission where all they give you is one troop of sappers :(

I really liked Crusades. I can't wait for this one.

The demo was fun. I keep meaning to pick up the full game.

Offtopic, the best-selling game in Japan last week was Drakengard 2, a classic example of how not to combine strategy and combat.
