IGN.com (http://www.ign.com) honors Ninja Five-O with its inclusion to their list of GameBoy Advance Gems (http://gameboy.ign.com/articles/625/625787p1.html).

What made the game so good was its focus on bringing back some truly old-school style of side-scrolling action, something that was in abundance in arcades and on consoles during the 8 and 16-bit days. Hudson Soft's design borrowed heavily from titles such as Shinobi, Rolling Thunder, and even Bionic Commando in this original franchise's design, and the combination of these elements meshed incredibly well.
I've been playing games since the early days of NES and I can say without a doubt that this is one of the best sidescrollers ever made period. Get it any way you can.

My friend has it and I had half of his GBA collection for a little while and it was alright. I played it for about 30 minutes and if you like side scrollers than it's definitely a good game to pick up, though if you aren't really too into sidescrollers then I think you're better off with like yoshi's island, super mario 3, etc.

Hmm, too many people will read that as a diss, but you just need to know what kind of game it is. If you liked bionic commando or games like that then you'll love this(I'm more of a Metal Slug, Mega Man, Viewtiful Joe, and Yoshi kind of side scrolling fan myself).

Agreed, Ninja Five O was good...
So was that Bruce Lee game but that was way too short...
Also one of the Spiderman games was alright...

How are those games not sidescrollers? Besides if you didn't like sidescrollers why do you have a GBA? About 53% of all GBA games are sidescrollers and the other 47% being RPGs and Advance Wars.

Seriously though Im not really a fan of most sidescrollers that are really obviously sidescrollers like mario or metal slug but I love the Castlevanias and Ninja Cop cause they have a bit more depth to them imo. I was surprised how much I liked this game.

I agree with the reviewer that this game, also known as Ninja Cop, is shockingly good! Plus, you get a grappling hook. Grappling hook? Aww yeah! That's an instant bonus to an already great game!

Hrm, this one might be tricky to hunt down, as it's 2 years old at this point.

I just ordered a brand new copy off of Amazon for around $27. Pretty pricey for a 2 year old game but not too bad.

I've seen quite a few copies around. I think it's a rule that games with the word 'ninja' in the title sell better than expected.

I've been telling people for months that Ninja Five O is the best GBA game in existence.

So, will the sequel be 'Ninja Six O' or 'Ninja Five 1'? Ninja Five 0 2 will crush PS3 and 360!
