“The first Rayman Raving Rabbids was a huge critical and commercial success worldwide,” said John Parkes, director of marketing for Ubisoft. “Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 is poised to continue that success, as gamers can’t seem to get enough of those crazy bunnies; they’re just so popular!”
About Rayman Raving Rabbids 2
After invading the world of Rayman, the insane Rabbids have a new objective: THE INVASION OF PLANET EARTH! Setting their home base at a shopping mall, the Rabbids try to study human behavior and mimic everything humans do in funny, illogical ways. As part of their training, the Rabbids must carry out several missions around the globe to prepare themselves for world domination. Rayman will attempt to infiltrate the Rabbids, disguised as one of them, in a mission to foil their crazy plans and save Earth. Game features include:
• New wacky games - 60 brand-new games that spoof popular culture and are even wackier than those featured in the first Rayman Raving Rabbids.
• Unique use of the Wii Remote – Discover new, innovative ways to play, with eight types of gameplay, including shaking, precision, dexterity and balance.
• Travel around the world - Take Rayman on a world tour to defend Earth from the Rabbids invasion. Travel to five different regions such as the USA, Europe and Asia, where players will challenge the Rabbids in the local environments.
• Customize Rayman and the Rabbids - Use more than 110 items (skins, hats, accessories and clothes) to dress Rayman and create your own Rabbids. Unleash your creativity with over 540K customization combinations.
• Multiplayer experience – Play co-op or battle up to three friends in all the games unlocked in the single-player campaign.
Nice. A kiddie game exclusive for the Wii and DS! Yes, it's sarcasm!

I didn't have much fun with the first one... too many "shake the Wiimote until your arms fall off" games. The humor was good, I'd love to have a real Rayman game focusing on the Rabbids.

That's actually one of the things I liked about it - it actually tired you out. Made for a new challenge - video games determine your speed, accuracy, and timing - this was a Wii game that challenged your endurance.
I'm amazed they ported the first one to other platforms - I can't imagine it's near as good.

The first game is definately one I'll be looking to pick up when I get my Wii around Metroid's release. The personality of the game alone, if the "Rabbits Can't X" ads are any indication, would make it worth it. I was tempted to pick up the PS2 version, but looking at the gameplay, that just wouldn't make sense. Good to see it get a sequel. :)
While i would prefer an adventure game with the Rabbids, i think i will buy this one cause there's a better multiplayer than the first one.
DAAAAAHHH!!!!

You'll enjoy it, Gorvi. The only real problem with it is polish, so the sequel should be quite good. (Same with Red Steel's Sequel)

The original Wii version was pure fun, I expect the same for the sequel.
There is no reason to play this game on any other system than the Wii anyway.

Yeah, I really think so. It's on the growing list of games I'll be picking up (probably cheap off of eBay) when I get a Wii. Metroid, Super Paper Mario, Trauma Center (love the DS version), and Excite Truck. I'm still undecided about Red Steel, but if I can find it for around $25 or so, I'll probably grab that too. As far as Zelda, I'm torn. I'm really not sure if I want to get it for my GC now, or wait to get it for the Wii when I finally get one. I think I'd prefer it with the GC controller.

Cooking Mama would also be a good BUDGET game. I shudder to think of paying 50 dollars for that thing.
Also, Sonic: Wildfire will be an EXCELLENT $30 game. When it hits that price, I'm buying it. Red Steel would be best on the cheap, as well. Once Wii games hit the REAL budget prices, it will be an amazing deal.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking about Cooking Mama, but I don't have it for the DS yet either, so I'm not sure how interested I'd be in that. Sonic sounds decent too, that's another I'd pick up, but I have a feeling my gaming will be busy enough around that time of year as it is.
EDIT : Oh, and Mario Strikers, I never picked it up on the GC, but I was interested.

If you like, I'll sell you my copy of Red Steel for $25. I very much enjoyed it, but it isn't what I expected. The sequel, if not up against a launch deadline, should be exceptional.

I won't even be looking for a Wii until August, so while I appreciate the offer, I'll have to pass.

God damn ... that run as fast as you can minigame is maybe the most horribly hellish nightmare experience I've ever had in a video game. Gahhhhh ... one try, and there was no way I would ever do that again. Dancing bit was fun, though.

I really liked the first one, although I never finished. Got busy w/ too many other games. My favorites:
-All the light gun segments
-Pulling worms out of the rabbits' teeth
-The Rabbit Choir
The only game I really hated was slamming the outhouse doors. I could never seem to get that one on the left side of the screen.
Man, I really have to go back and finish it up. Fun game.

Please add wide screen and left-handed support in this one. Please.
It will be brilliant.

I preferred it slightly with the remote, except for part of the final battle, where I found the remote added a lot if used properly. It was pretty nice for aiming your weapons, too. I'd say the Wii version is definately better, but not a whole lot.
Also, since I don't know if I've said this somewhere else - flipping the world so that link would be right handed in the Wii version was just moronic. If Link's movements on screen corresponded to your actual movements, it would make sense - but there's nothing from stopping a lefty from switching which part of the controller is in which hand. It was so far beyond pointless it's weird.

Anyone else get that annoying "Please sit closer to your television" message if you're more than 8ft or so away (which is annoying, since my sofa is about 8'6" from the TV).
Unless they fix that I doubt I'll pick up the sequel, since sitting on the floor or the coffee table to play gets old pretty quick, especially since no other game has that issue.

Seriously? I've never seen that. Try removing unnecessary light from the room, and playing with the settings on your remote. That's ODD.

For those who had issues with the Outhouse game, there is a simple solution.
Aim for the rabbids bellies. Just keep trying to slap their tummy. It will shut the down without a problem. Too many times we aim for the side of the door etc, and that's the problem. The game doesn't detect it because the hit box is apparently their Stomach.
Saw one of my friends blow a gasket trying to beat that mini game.
