Fantastic 4 film's storyline and expands the adventures by letting players stretch, control fire and use invisibility and brute force to defeat evil Super Villains in new environments and familiar comic book locales. Challenged to master the individual powers of each Super Hero and combine them to level even more devastating attacks, players must battle some of Marvel's most notorious Super Villains, including, the ultimate evil - Doctor Doom - to save the human race from disaster. Activision held a recent press event showing off a near final build of the game, here is a snip :

One of the most fun parts of the game became clear when we tried the two player co-op, where teamwork really comes through by means of team combos. One of the players can grab an enemy, and face one of the other team members, who can then pull off a team combo and smack the living daylights out of the foe. Each of the four characters has his/her own unique combos, and pulling those off was one of the highlights of the game and very fun. One important thing to note is that pulling off team combos is not just a gimmick; it is also rewarding and gives bigger bonus points, which in turn can then be used to acquire additional powers or upgrade current ones.Check out the full Fantastic Four preview (http://www.worthplaying.com/article.php?sid=26274) over at WorthPlaying.

I hate previews. Or, more accurately, I hate it when Game Sites are too scared to say "This game sucks. Save your money," during previews.

Well you can't really. The game's not done, it's hard to criticize something like that.

Well the game doesn't suck, it looks good enough, it plays decent, as my conclusion says, it doesn't revolutionize anything, but its a fun title, especially coop.

Neither did I say, OMFG this game rocks hard :)

Is it just me, or is there some sort of Fantastic Four article on here everyday lately?

Are those PS2 or Xbox screens? I'm having a hard time figuring that out, especially since the preview states that the Xbox has "obviously sharper textures", which really scares me if those screens are from the Xbox version. The textures are awful.

I agree. Sometimes it's just so obvious that a game's gonna suck and the preview is still upbeat. Maybe this game isn't one of those examples but the practice still pisses me off. It's not like game companies are gonna turn down free press just because you're truthful in your preview.

Actually, I'm pretty sure some of them would. Their PR reps would most likely whine and complain and not forward the next few press releases because they'd be bitter.

Well a movie like Fantastic 4 needs all the good publicity it can get and that includes the games. C'mon, does anyone truly believe Fantastic 4 will be a good movie honestly?

I think it looks fun. I'm not totally sure but I've got some fair hopes that the movie will be good. I'm not expecting it to be Spiderman good, but I think it could probablly be X-Men good.

I'm hoping Fantastic Four will be as good as X-men, but I suspect it'll be more like Hulk and Daredevil.

As for the game, it looks "interesting".

As for previews, slamming a game before it's done isn't fair. The game's NOT DONE! Previews really are to let the gamer know what the game's about, how it's coming along and some insight into the GOOD of the title. It makes no sense to tear the title down before it's done, unless it's near completion and doesn't look like it's getting better.

Previews are for updates. Reviews are for slamming, ask IGN. ;)
