Specifically Dark Messiah of Might and Magic: Elements is coming to the 360. The details, from Eurogamer (http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=76769). Ubisoft has revealed at its event in Paris that Dark Messiah of Might & Magic Elements is an Xbox 360 title. It will be a port of the game that appeared on PC last year, but with new and additional content.

Dark Messiah of Might & Magic is a first-person fantasy action game from Arkane Studios. It was built on Valve's Source engine and makes clever use of physics: allowing you to freeze the ground to make your enemies go arse-over-elbow, for instance. No word yet on a release date for the game.

Dark Messiah was a good game hampered by too many bugs and the long shadow cast by Oblivion. Hopefully those won't be a factor with this version

I've never played a M&M game. I'm also not holding my breath on this one, as it was a mess on the PC from what I understand of it.

Apart from short duration and underwhelming ending(s), i thought DMoM&M was fucking awesome.

It was a mess technically, not in terms of its design. On a console (and with a year's extra experience in the team) it should be a-ok.

I played one of the Heroes of Might and Magic and it was pretty fun. Granted it was this crazy RTS/TBS with some sort of SimCity thing going on, but it held together pretty well. The videos I saw of this game looked pretty much like Halo 2 with magic spells. It seemed to me the hierarchy of next-gen(this-gen, if you prefer) FPS/RPGs is:

Oblivion >>> DMoM&M >> Gothic 3.

Finished it only recently and never came across any bugs. Indeed Oblivion did cast its shadow although they were two very different types of game.

It was pretty much a console game already, seems like a good candidate to port.

Dark Messiah was hampered by too much ambition and too little time to fulfill it. The engine they built could do so much cool stuff, and you'd see hints of it here and there, but it ended up being a bit lackluster becuase they didn't get enough time to deliver.

I never came across any bugs and had more fun with this than Oblivion...DM is just more action-oriented.

Word, it was only a mess at launch. I dealt with the game stopping bugs and all of that and still enjoyed the game a few times through.

I had the weird static sound bug in the beginning, verified the files and never had a problem again. It is nothing like oblivion imo and the action was top notch, best sword fighting I've played in a game, I look forward to this on 360.

I would imagine this will be fine, as someone already said Dark Messiah was pretty much a console game anyway.

Boy I'd like a real M&M sequel though :(

I guess I was just unlucky. I did run into the show-stopping bugs that actually prevented me from playing past Chapter 1 as it'd always crash in the same spot. The first patch addressed that...

Next up was the issue of incredibly slow load times (in minutes, we're not talking seconds...). Fortunately the next patch fixed that.

I imagine they've had enough time to address all the bugs in all this time -- plus developing for a single platform goes a long way in stamping out bugs like this... but damn, it felt like I wasted my money at the time.

Bugs aside, I loved this game on the PC. As others have already mention the combat system is just far too much fun, and the control scheme would lend itself quite well to a console. My only hope is that the multi-player gets a serious retuning, as it was far and away the most disappointing aspect of the entire game.

Another game that I never got round to buying, but I can say that the demo gave me more entertainment (of the full-on "I've got a big fucking grin on my face" kind,) than most whole games. It's certainly the best first-person melee combat I've ever played, though it's not exactly a crowded field.

If they can clean it up, I'm willing to give it another shot.

Nice, I really wanted to try this but didn't have a PC to play it on. Ubisoft is answering my prayers again (Yeah, I pray to Ubisoft. Just to be sure, I pray to some other game companies too. Pascal's Wager for the win). How about Beyond Good & Evil 2 now, Ubisoft?

It was a buggy heap when I played through it, sure was fun though.

Speaking of Beyond Good & Evil... man that's a game they should port to the Wii... like right now while there are no games out. It would do phenomenally.

I thought 1 up reviewed this game harshly?
I never played it myself, but have fond memories of the older games in the series.
