Only four days til Mario Strikers hits Europe! Shame we probably won't see Batallion Wars or MP3 until December.

FUCK YES! The game that will make or break my interest for the Wii comes out August 20th. And is there any info on the Dave Mirra BMX game?

I actually would like to hear about the Brunswick bowling game. Of course I plan on getting Strikers, Metroid and Battalion.

All these posts already and no one's mentioned Chibi-Robo: Park Patrol yet?

Paing Spigot...paging Spigot.

I picked up the Gamecube Chibi-Robo a few months ago for $10. What a fun little niche game. Really pleased to see they're coming out with a sequel.

Oh, and Metroid Prime 3, Battllion Wars 2, Phoenix Wright 3 of course.

Damn, I was really hoping to see Smash brothers there, especially with the (potential) announcement 7 minutes from now.

Are you perpetually refreshing smashbros.com (http://smashbros.com), too?

Feverishly.

It changed 2 minutes ago, but not to anything useful.

Is it trying to say we have to wait for business hours or something? As in another 9 hours?

God dammit, Nintendo. If you're going to set up a god damned countdown, you'd better damn well have something to TELL US when said countdown is completed.

EDIT: Nevermind -- here's a moderator comment from the official Nintendo boards (http://forums.nintendo.com/nintendo/board/message?board.id=smash&message.id=1460695):

The site MIGHT NOT UPDATE IMMEDIATELY. The countdown ends at midnight Japan time which means it is just counting to the day it updates, not necessarily to the exact time it updates. PLEASE do NOT flood the board with "WHY ISN'T IT UPDATED?" posts. It could take several hours after the countdown ends until the site is uploaded, so please be patient.

That lineup is kind of weak, sans MP3 of course. Hopefully Smash and Galaxy will show up soon as well.

Smash and Galaxy will show up in the Fall, not Summer.

Summer is typically the weakest season for gaming as many people are away on holiday or outside of the house. Not too many people spend all summer cooped-up inside playing games, except human veal that avoid the foul day-star.

The glow of the television keeps me warm.
Seriously. This pale radiance isn't something that comes easily. I have spent hundreds of hours away from natural light, radiating my skin with CRTs and LCDs over the years to achieve this look. Stepping outside into the harmful, bombarding rays of the day-star could ruin my iridescent complexion.

MP3 is the only game I'm interested in from that list, but that might be enough to make me buy a Wii. It all depends on reviews and what you guys think of it. I hope it's crap so I can get along without a Wii :) Currently I have both a PS3 and a 360, but I barely have enough time to use even one of them. Add a Wii to the mix and it would be too much for me to handle. Maybe I should take a console with me to work so I can do some gaming there. I'm sure my boss would like that :)

Hope you guys like MP3 when it comes out. I am confident it will show how well the Wiimote works with first=person games when implemented properly, better than previous 3rd party titles such as Red Steel or Call of Duty. Of course, I might be a little biased. :)

That's good, I loved how red steel controlled. Except the moving the remote forward thing, that sucked a bit.

Of course, their presence should never cause us to become silent when discussing their shitty games. :D

I don't forget, I just didn't know we had someone from Retro. Keep up the good work, I had a blast playing the demo!

edit: But when making a demo, add a time limit to that thing, the line was SO SLOW.

Yeah new Phoenix Wright! I'm so there. It'll be the last game (so far) with Phoenix as the main character too...

Although it's not on that list (and I'll probably catch some flack over it) Mario Party 8 is out next week. I don't care what anybody says if theres a game that everyone in the house can agree on playing it's Mario Party. Of course Strikers and MP3 are must buys but probably Tiger Woods 08 too if the controls have been tightened up a bit. Assuming Chibi Robo for the DS retains the same charm of its Gamecube predecessor it'll be another must buy for me.

C'mon, Capcom! Atlus gave us a Wii version of Trauma Center! Wacky Japanese courtroom simulators should be able to happily co-exist with wacky Japanese surgical simulators. :D

I have roughly 3 ideas for how FPS games could be handled on Wii better than we've seen before, I'll be interested to see whether you guys arrived at one of the same conclusions I did.

First though, I really hope you've abandoned the whole simulated joystick approach for at LEAST the vertical axis. There's no reason in hell to ever do that; it's not Descent. Whatever you do for turning left and right, I don't see any reason why aiming up and down can't be based 1-to-1 off of either the angle you hold the remote or the part of the screen you aim at.

Nothing on the Wii side of things has me the least bit interested in buying one yet, though my wife loved Outpost Kaloki X on XBLA so she's interested in Space Station Tycoon. There are a couple of good looking DS games, though. I think that SimCity, for instance looks awesome.

If I can "object" using motion controls, I will LOVE THIS GAME.

Suddenly point the remote forward as you catch someone in a lie to extend the mighty finger of justice! Then when they least expect it, slam your fist down against the stand for effect as you reveal the contradictions of testimony!

And when caught with your mistake, pull the remote back in shock as you seem to have been shot in the chest, from the realization which causes you, uh, pain. From shock. Then at the last moment when it all seems bleakest, hear the voice of your mentor echo through the speaker for Dues Ex Machina goodness

Hell, throw in a mic and you can feel the rush of both extending ones lawyerly index finger -AND- shouting your objection at the same time, as the 'cornered' music sounds, and the filthy stand-taking liar faints from the sheer force of your blinding truth.

I'd buy it. ;)
