Here (http://media.pc.gamespy.com/articles/628/628007/vids_1.html) is a new GameSpy video showing some footage from the latest exploits of the Unreal Engine.
The shadowing on the buggy is amazing.
God now we all have to go get new nvidia cards again!

Ever since I saw the Killzone movie, I think the words "This is all in realtime" will always turn on my hype-o-meter.

April, 2002, Dungeon Siege, Streaming worlds are not in the future of gaming, they are in the past. Please stop thinking your game engine is new to this... it's a good idea that no one managed to freaking pick up on is all.

Relax, this is. People have controlled it themselves.

What a bunch of bullshit. I can't even get BF2 to run decently on my system, and its not a slouch. I wonder what kind of specs that machine is running...
(Just saying its BS because we all know it wont run like that on our rigs once we get it, or will it? dun dun dun)

It's the 7800, seeing as it's taken from the card's launch party. :p

It'll run like that on your PS3 or XBox 360.
Me? I'm fucking out of PC Gaming. Too god damned rich for my blood.
*slobbers all over new video*
Looks a lot better than the video they released a while ago. Not so choppy! Even though they're running on a PC, isn't that supposed to be for Xbox360?

Me? I'm fucking out of PC Gaming. Too god damned rich for my blood. You're not alone. The price/performance ratio of PC gaming is probably on par or slightly higher than the ratio for console gaming (higher price/performance is bad). With the next gen consoles, you're likely to get performance equivalent to a pretty high-end PC for about 25% or less of the price. Sure - to experience the next gen in all its glory, you have to shell out for HD and a good sound system - but many of us have already done that. It's hard to justify dropping a couple grand every year and a half or so just to play the latest games at max settings. That could be a new boat, or a badass mountain bike, or a decent hunting rifle.
Still - the UE3 video was enough to make me salivate.
