View Full Version : 3 Xboxes + 3 TVs + 3 Copies of Forza = Panoramic View

By linking up multiple Xboxes and television screens, you can create a wrap-around, panoramic view. It’s a feature called the Network Cockpit.

It's an amazingly cool way to play and it's about as immersive as it gets. Not to mention that it works in syslink and Live multiplayer.

Although it's an easter egg for a reason. It's still got some bugs to it.

The plural of Xbox is Xboxes, not Xbox's. This has been an announcement from EA's resident irritating pedant.

Hmm, I think I'd have to disagree.. but probably because im a Gran Turismo Fan.. Forza is Good though :)

Heck, I'm a Gran Turismo fan, and I love Forza. Actually, I like Forza more than GT4 and haven't touched GT4 since I got Forza.
Having a competing product, especially one that includes things like damage, and car cusomization, can only be good for the consumer in the end. =)

Here's to the upcoming GT5 vs. Forza2 battle!

I saw this running at pax last year - its not that impressive. The 'panoramic view' amounts to one screen showing what you need to see, and then two screens showing you billboards blurring by. I asked the lady presenting it if they were going to try and get it to work on only one xbox somehow, and she said 'we're trying...'

I love these guys. All the GT fans that don't have an Xbox and don't have Forza love to blast it because *shock* Forza actually is a better game in all aspects and they'd rather die than admit it.

LOL.. I did say I like Forza.. I played it on my m8's XBOX and enjoyed it very much, but I do Personally prefer GT.. My m8 said that he prefered GT too.. If I had an XBOX I would get Forza.. The competition between the two is good, It means Polyphony might get their arse in gear and add more new features to the next GT instead of just updating the GFX and Number of cars :)

Yeah.

I wish steel batallion did this. And i wish that the xbox had a stearing wheel that let be go the whole 900 degrees rotation. Does anyone know if the contoller converters work for the wheel that is out on the PS2? Cause I'd love to play Forza with it.

EDIT: I just went into forza and looked at the menu, and there are two more camera options, rear view and replay camera. Does that mean that you can have 5 xboxes hooked up? I didn't read the article, maybe I should go look at it now...

Wasn't trying to correct grammar, was instead just trying to make sure that everyone knew you needed 3 copies of Forza to make it work instead of one, which is what the original post said. It's been fixed now.

Wow, she either flat out lied or was stupid. Since the xbox only has 1 video out (and only 1 video card) that'd be pretty much impossible.

I think this option clearly falls into the cool but impractical category. Having 3 TV's is very possible, 3 Xboxes is quite a stretch and then 3 copies of the same game...ok that's just dumb. Only way I see this ever happening is if you and two of your friends all happen to have Forza and decided to get together one night and give this a try.
