I was thinking the same thing. The concept behind this game sounds great, but all reports say it's buggy as hell. Does anyone kow if this patch changes that?

I tried patch 1 and could no longer run the game ... perhaps I'll try this before I get too far.

Old news dudes.

They're already doing the 2nd patch.

Is not old news, the EU 1.1 patch came out about a week ago but the people in the USA were waiting for this. I love this game....

What's this game about, anyway?

Is it strictly a FPS? Is it an RPG? The interaction interface reminds me of Deus Ex (not the crappy sequel, the good one.)

Oh, hey, the bad guy from 24. Sweet.

Not only that - for some people (like me!) the 'patch 1' broke the game, and the EU patch required a manual install ... the 1.1 US patch seems great for those things. But the driving still seems 'funky'.

The RPG element is not that refined and needs to be fixed a little I think... I love it because it's like Morrowind set in modern times, you do lots of quests/missions for different factions and get cool weapons which you can modify. The main quest is cool too, you also have multiple ways to get to the next point in the story line. E.g. if you can't afford to pay someone for the information, you might be able to do some missions for another faction to get the info or ask around and get it.
It's pretty buggy but it's a good step towards a "living, breathing world" game environment and is better then the GTA series in that respect in my opinion.
